Just remembered at least three tucked away in the closet and one I'm picking up from back home when I go on vacation. I'm easily over 27.

A peripheral that runs games of a different format compared to the base console (ie: the Sega CD runs CD games, not carts) counts as a "system" for me. Same goes for the 32X, e-reader, etc.

I count all of my plug&play stuff as one category/console. Same goes for stand-alone handhelds.

I'm counting my retro computers that play proprietary software (Tandy, Commodore 64, etc).

I'm not counting duplicates.

In retrospect I guess I didn't need to count "DVD player" though I do have DVD games that are played through the menu. I also counted my PC.

I counted 28 not counting duplicates or new models of the same console (for example I have a DS and a DSi, but only counted those as 1).

With duplicates and newer models, I get 34 I think. 35 if you include the 360, which is technically my girlfriends and 36 if you think the e-Reader is it's own console. Either way I fit into the highest band there.

I guess it's worth noting that I don't own any games for my Commodore 16, Amiga CD32, or WonderSwan yet.

I "tested" the three consoles by the following means: the C16 boots non-gaming software, the CD32 plays audio CDs fine, and the WonderSwan displays the proper error message when I insert WonderSwan Color games.
