Been sick all this week has really messed up my routine... time to get back into the game. At least laziness isn't the fault, makes me feel a little bit better about myself

I joined the gym 8 months ago and have been focusing on strength training with a bit of light cardio mixed in. I typically workout 3-4 times a week

So far, I've more than doubled my strength on most of my exercises and continue to increase the weight on at least one of my exercises with every workout.

However, since I've been "bulking" by consuming more food with excess calories, I've unfortunately put on about 10 more pounds of body fat. Although, 10 lbs in 8 months isn't bad considering how much I sometimes eat. I do need to get on a serious "cut" soon, so I can actually see the progress that I've made with my own eyes... and maybe also show some other people, too (like women). 8)

I began working out 2 years ago, and I typically work out for at least 70 minutes per day and 3 days per week. Back then, my BMI was around 30, but now it's 26 (probably due to muscle mass). Plus, before and after I play any video game, I do at least a set of 15 push-ups or sit-ups.

Yesterday I bought these running shoes:

Simply because they reminded me of:

I'm not kidding. I actually bought a pair of shoes because they reminded me of one of my favorite toys.

Don't think I won't put an "X-19" sticker on my footwear.

Didn't find them at a thrift shop, but at Kohl's, which is like a retail thrift shop. Original price was over $80usd, got them for under "Fiddy" plus earned some Kohl's cash.

I do three sets of 30 sit-ups and three sets of push-ups at least three times per week, plus chin-ups and runs when I can get them in. I'm not trying to get in better shape, I just need to stay where I'm at.

I start my workout in the morning by making a cup of tea. Verily following it up with a quick spread of butter on my crumpets. I stretch out the broadsheet and contemplate on the days events. The mind is a muscle as well and must be exercised thoroughly. I then pop on my monocle and ride my penny farthing to work. Tally-Ho!

Since biking in the city isn't as enjoyable as it was back home, and my new job has me sitting all night, I've gotten a little out of shape. A couple weeks ago, I started doing 30-50 crunches daily, and have been doing a pretty decent job keeping up with it.
