Stores will often sell off old display models, so you can occasionally nab stuff for cheap that way too. It's how I got mine.

...though I can't imagine any store having a tv with s-video on display long enough to be getting rid of it now.

Personally $350 seems like way too much for a used 37" tv to me. My display 46" was that much.

Maybe if you can talk him down it might be worth it? Not sure what kind of price point would be considered fair.

More than welcome. If s-video inputs are important, you may want to snag it. I'd offer $250 and see if he'll meet you at $300 ("well, I can get a new tv for $300" would be a justifiable stance to lower the price).

By how much? She was iffy on doing $300. There's a dvd player being thrown in, which doesn't amount to anything, I know.

Well the posting has been deleted, so either opiwacky has a new used tv or it's *gone*.

I hate when people complain that "kids these days, they don't play outside like they used to." It's not like our parents did. Maybe it was watching TV or reading instead of videogames, but they stayed in the house too.

Those are usually the same people who will see kids playing outside, then get annoyed and ask "shouldn't they be in school?".
