Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
So I've been tied up with a number of things and haven't had a second to spend on retro gaming or even my friends here at Racketboy. I get a text tonight from a family friend of my wife (who she is very close with) and she said she had found some Nintendo 64 stuff and asked if I wanted it. They live close by and my wife was in that area tonight so she swung by and picked it up. Except when I got to the car to unload the bags, it was NOT Nintendo 64 stuff at all.
It was her children's long put away NES stuff. 13 CIB games, boxes very good to outstanding. A number of games with sleeves. And a regular NES toaster (when I saw the dog bone controller (my first) I thought a top loader was in the one bag. Uniracers and Tecmo Super Bowl III for the SNES also made the picture.

Very nice, especially finding some with crisp boxes! Free is always a good thing, you really scored!retrosportsgamer wrote:I get a text tonight from a family friend of my wife (who she is very close with) and she said she had found some Nintendo 64 stuff and asked if I wanted it. PS2 Thrillville - $2.00 Swap Meet
I did not think much of this game thinking it was just an amusement park sim coupled with a roller coaster builder. Turned out there are mini games that pay homage to older Arcade games similar to classics such as Flicky, Super Sprint and Gradius. Not perfect Arcade translations, but still pretty good. Oh and no waiting to try out rides and there are also unlock codes to open all the parks and games. Definitely so much better then the Universal Studios Sim on the Gamecube.

Xbox Fatal Frame II Directors Cut - From prfsnl_gmr
Got this at a very good price, right here on Racketboy. prfsnl_gmr warned the disc had scratches and the case had a tear, the reason for the very good price. The manual inside is absolutely pristine as if never flipped thru. The disc polished up fine with Plastic Scratch Remover. Bought a replacement solid green Xbox case from the Swap Meet for a buck, the bewildered seller kept the sports game that I did not want.
I already have the three Fatal Frames on the PS2, really wanted this due to the exclusive to Xbox First Person View while walking. Really adds to the suspense when in that close up mode. There is another 3rd person game that does this too called The Suffering. I'm really liking the Xbox for all the FPS games.
Gameboy Color Frogger - Free From prfsnl_gmr
Thrown in as a bonus for buying the Fatal Frame II game. Close to the Arcade in game play style, good for quick get into portable game.
PS2 Sony Memory Card - $2.00 Pawn Shop
Killing some time, went into a Pawn Shop I have never been to before. The store had a two door buzz in lock system, made me wonder if safe going in there. A stack of memory cards at two bucks each, but the rest were 3rd party.
Guitar Hero Kramer Wireless Reciever - $5.00 Swap Meet
Finally found for the free Guitar Controller that I picked up a few weeks ago. Real lucky the Red Octane receiver is labeled for the Kramer matched exact to the Kramer Guitar Hero controller. The price was very good considering it was purchased from a video game specialist stall.
PC You Dont Know Jack Movies - $1.00 swap Meet
Only a buck a music CD or PC game. The Jack series are one of the better Trivia games with a snappy talking host. They also can be made to work with Buzz Controllers with a couple simple programs. PC games and PS2 Buzz Controllers can be found on the cheap. Load in a Laptop and hook it up to the HDTV for a great party game with easy to use controllers for non gamers to join the fun.

Mac Unreal - $1.00 Swap Meet
I did not even know there was a non Arena game of Unreal let alone a Mac version. This runs in OS9, another game justifying hanging onto my vintage G3. I prefer hunting thru huge rooms versus arena style play, think Quake with improved features.

Game is in absolutely perfect condition though.
The kind of mint you only seem to get from Japanese sellers... ^^
