You can say this about almost every port on the Wii U, no?Weekend_Warrior wrote: It's just a lazy port in my eyes. In this case, there's no reason to choose the Wii U version over the PS3/360/PC ones!
Just another reason to dislike Capcom and the Wii U

How to WiiU port:dsheinem wrote:You can say this about almost every port on the Wii U, no?Weekend_Warrior wrote: It's just a lazy port in my eyes. In this case, there's no reason to choose the Wii U version over the PS3/360/PC ones!
Step 1: Don't upgrade the graphics and textures at all, even though they can be
Step 2: Include support for a few different kinds of controllers but not the ones the people want
Step 3: Make it cost exactly the same even though it's come out much later
Step 4: ?????
Step 5: Call the WiiU bad when your poorly ported game doesn't sell well because it's 9 months old, costs $60, and everybody who wanted to play it has already done so.
Older. Not wiser.
Re: Just another reason to dislike Capcom and the Wii U
Is it not obvious they're developing the game with the gamepad in mind, to take advantage of the touchscreen? Then again, they're saying the pro controller is supported, so I don't know.
Oh well, I don't really care. I don't like the nunchuk and wii remote. Never have, never will. Plus, I have the game on 3DS already.

This is the nail right here. They need new & fresh games to draw us in.RyaNtheSlayA wrote: Step 5: Call the WiiU bad when your poorly ported game doesn't sell well because it's 9 months old, costs $60, and everybody who wanted to play it has already done so.
But any way, this game should have Wii controller support. RE4 was a blast and I could not put it down. I remember thinking RE Archives was going to be the same and almost bought it.

With or without motion controls, RE 4 is a blast to play.bryan_65 wrote:RE4 was a blast and I could not put it down.

Re: Just another reason to dislike Capcom and the Wii U
First of all, RE 4 wasn't designed with Wii controls in mind in the first place. It's kind of luxury that gamers got a version of the game that supported them. It certainly shouldn't be expected of all RE gamesWeekend_Warrior wrote:With all the positive reviews for the Resident Evil Revelations HD remake for the home consoles and PC, I was actually excited at the thought of being able to play the Wii U version, because I LOVED how well the Wiimote & nunchuck worked on the Resident Evil 4 edition for the Wii.
But guess what? That control option has been surprisingly omitted! Same as the Classic Controller option. Instead, you either have to use the Wii U gamepad or the 360-style one. So older Wii controls are not an option!
First off... what a horrible, HORRIBLE decision by the development team to not include the Wiimote controls after how well-received those controls were on RE4! If they had included this option, I may have actually considered buying a Wii U due to this game alone. That's how much I enjoyed the RE4: Wii Edition.
Second, I thought backwards compability of the original Wii controls were supposed to be a big selling point for the system? But so far, it seems like most of the bigger titles do not include them, when that control option might have made for a VERY NICE bonus to have. Games like Mass Effect 3, Zombi U and Batman: Arkham Asylum would have been really cool to play with the Wii's motion controls. But instead, you're stuck with the over-sized gaming pad. I understand they're trying to push the new controller, but they should still give us that option. Activision included it on Black Ops 2 and it works wonderfully. So what gives?
Second, you'd be crazy to buy a Wii U for Revelations. It's not half as good as RE 4 was. It's better than RE 5 and 6 though, but that's not saying much.

That's just you, i played RE4 on the PS2, GC, and PC (with textures mods) and i love it every... single... time... now i wanna try the wii and HD versions of the game... yes i love it that much.bryan_65 wrote:

I just played the demo on the PS3... is not bad and i kind of like that nighmare difficulty (crap ton of enemies!) Still i need to check RE6 to see how good... or bad it is. RE5 was a good game but not a resident evil game for me.Gamerforlife wrote:
