Hey all,
I have been reading the Racket Boy forums for a few years and thought it was time join and contribute. I'm twenty three and live in Vancouver, I have been managing a shipping and receiving department for almost five but recently got accepted to the Game Design program at VFS. My game collection is pretty all over the place mostly Nes,Snes, and N64 but the pride of it all is an almost complete SuperGraFX collection (just the exclusives no TG16 games).

Re: New Members: Introduce Yourself!
Hey! Some of my favorite videogames are Super Meat Boy, Fez, TLOZ, wind waker, The Wario Land/Ware series, Crash Bandicoot series, and Portal. I grew up loving Nintendo games, cartoons, comics, and drawing and I still do!

Sup! My name's Nick, I'm 21, live in Aus, got a degree in maths/psyc, and I love two things: video games and music.
I started playing video games when I was 4. My dad gave me a floppy disk filled with random games (Jazz Jackrabbit, Commander Keen, Doom, all kid-friendly games) and since then I've just kept gaming!
I started playing piano when I was 7. After a couple months I stopped. Then Guitar Hero came out. I took up guitar at the age of 16. I haven't stopped. I also write chiptunes, but that's not what I REALLY want to write (although it is DAMN fun!).
I got really sick of not being able to play video games while I was studying, so I started http://www.youtube.com/MilkJooce to force myself to play games. I can happily confirm that it's working. I'm always looking for more things to do for it, so please check it out and give me some ideas!

Re: New Members: Introduce Yourself!
Whats up everyone! Just signed up to post yesterday and I just found this last week. Great site with lots of information!
A little about myself. I'm 36, been a gamer since the late 80s. Started with the NES, Super NES, Genesis (dropped the SNES for Genesis over the whole 'blood in Mortal Kombat' thing), Playstation, Playstation 2, and now the Playstation 3. As I get older I am starting to miss some of the early games of my youth. This nostalgia has awakened my "retro-gamer" phase. I still play (and love) modern games, as I hunt for trophies/achievements on current games.
My girlfriend bought me a SupaBoy last month for my birthday and I love it! I plan on getting the RetroN 6 in July, so the hunt is on for NES/SNES/Genesis titles.

Re: New Members: Introduce Yourself!
Hey folks,
Been posting for a bit but figured I'd formally introduce myself. My name is Mike and I live in Centennial, Colorado (just SE of Denver).
I'm 38 years old, and I've been gaming for the last 30 years beginning with the Atari 2600. I only recently started collecting and have been doing so for the last 3 years.
I'm a writer by trade so I work a lot from home which gives me plenty of access to my gaming library. As a hobby I also repair and modify electronics in the way of building radio transmitters, fixing arcade machines, consolizing arcade boards, and building custom joysticks for various systems.
I used to be involved with Twin Galaxies and hold 28 world records, and was featured in the 2012 Guinness Book of World Record Gamers Edition.
I've been married for 14 years and my wife is an avid gamer herself, which makes my ability to collect and play games easier as I'm supported by her in these endeavors.
My favorite system to play on is my Neo Geo arcade cabinet. But I also own and play the following systems;
NES
SNES
N64
Gamecube
Wii
Xbox360
PS2
PS3
PSP
GBA
DS
3DS
Dreamcast
Saturn
Genesis with Sega CD and 32X
Conzolized MVS
Neo Geo X
gaming PC - 3rd gen i7 core, 660Ti in SLI, 32GB RAM, 27" Samsung monitor
Well, I guess that about covers things for now. Thanks for your time in reading my post and it has been great getting to know you folks here at Racketboy. Happy gaming!

Welcome! Looks like you'll fit right in here. Which records do you hold on Twin Galaxies? I know you mentioned the Metal Slugs already.

TBH I can't remember all of them. I know Metal Slugs on several platforms, also Samurai Shodown II. Street Fighter Alpha 3 on MAME last I checked, and a couple of others (edit; I recall Twinkle Star Sprites). Most are Metal Slug though on several platforms, like Metal Slug 7 on DS and XX on XBLA for example. Also, the Wii and PS2 Metal Slugs.
I had all of the records for Metal Slug on the arcade (not counting 6 as it wasn't on the Neo Geo) and then right before publication a guy beat my score on the first one

Now TG charges $25 and up to submit a score so I'm not going to go winning it back.
