E3 is less than a month away, and with Nintendo not attending it, the spotlight is on MS and Sony.
From the PS4 official unveiling (w/o showing the console), Sony did mention the integration between the Vita and PS4 briefly, and if Sony is serious about this, then they should drop the price for Vita (at USD $199 or less) during E3 (as well as the memory cards). Sony should not wait until when the PS4 comes out to drop the Vita price, it will be too late, as gamers wallets will be much thinner by then.
As for games, there are coming steadily, but there's not that must-have game at the moment, and it could be the hard reality that Vita has to face.
Right from Kotaku, Best Buy has 16GB Vita cards for UDS $30:

Re: Playstation Vita thread
Same here. I was obsessed with getting a Vita earlier this year, but the price kept being an issue. Now with so many cool games coming out for my 3DS (Project X Zone looks awesome), I feel like I don't mind waiting on a Vita. Plus, now I kind of want a 3DS XL. So the Vita needs to put out some awesome stuff and also drop the price to really get me want to buy one later this year or early next year.CavZee wrote:Feel like I'm in the same position as you.MrEco wrote:Yeah, I've decided I'm gonna get a Vita eventually. Just really want to wait for a price drop, since I would feel much more comfortable buying it for $200 or under. Also I just bought a 3DS, so I don't need another system anytime soon.
And does anyone know if they've got some third party memory sticks yet?
Price drop plus some new exclusive games will get me to purchase one.

3DS software lineup just keeps getting better and better while the Vita is just sort've sleepwalking kinda like the Wii U. But if there's one key difference between the Vita and the U is that at least there's alot of stuff that's been promised to us by Nintendo while Sony hasn't really shown us what's in the pipeline. Granted I haven't been paying too much attention to the Vita lately but that's not far from the truth is it?

I'll have everything in the "Instant Game Collection" (Gravity Rush, Uncharted, and a few others); and a physical copy of Wipeout 2048. Rayman Origins is also on the menu this month. I also have a copy of FIFA. IF anybody wants to pay shipping they can have it.CavZee wrote:What games are you getting with it?
I just got the unit. It's basically brand new. Also the screen has no business being as nice at it is. It's a real shame they make you put smudges all over it to navigate the OS.

As far as navigation, update the OS, the later revs allow for navigation with buttons.
Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.

If I do get a Vita at some point, PS Plus would be a no brainer. I'm sure Rayman will look great on that screen. Have you played it before? If not, enjoy!RyaNtheSlayA wrote:I'll have everything in the "Instant Game Collection" (Gravity Rush, Uncharted, and a few others); and a physical copy of Wipeout 2048. It is honestly my favorite platformer of all time. I originally played it on PS3.CavZee wrote: If I do get a Vita at some point, PS Plus would be a no brainer. I'm sure Rayman will look great on that screen. Have you played it before? If not, enjoy!
Edit: Why isn't Gran Turismo Portable on PSN for Vita? Lame.

Neither GT game is on PSN right? It would seem like a no-brainer you'd think.
