It's not boring once you get over the initial learning curve. Hard and frustrating though, when you try something over and over and over again for weeks and months and you just wont learn it. It's a matter of patience (naturally some people find it more enjoyable and therefore have a lot more patience for endless trial and error)
My WTB thread (Sega CD/Saturn games)
Also looking to buy: Ys III (TG-16 CD), Shadowrun (Genesis) Hori N64 mini pad and Slayer (3DO) in long box/just the long box

I'll go with a more conventional choice.. Dark Souls.. I honestly thought when I bought the game that I would play it a few hours, decide it was too hard and never play it again.. 500 hours later I platinumed it and ran through the game three times.. I even frequented on Dark Souls Wiki all the time chatting on various secrets within the game on the chatango addon the website had.. LOL!

Defender, both the arcade version and the 6th gen remake. I can play them for hours, and hours, and hours. The first is widely loved but I seem to be the only one who likes the remake.

I also played Dissidia Final Fantasy for 390 hours somehow. Every character level 100, but I still don't have all the best equipment. It's an endless game but I'm completely sick of it. I'd like to play the sequel, some day.

Winter Games - Kinda crappy with bad controls. I find it fun for some reason, love that cheesy Olympic theme at the beginning. I have it on both Atari 2600 and Commodore 64, I'll get the NES version eventually.

I'm not a sports guy by any means, but I had some fun with most of the 'Games' games on my C64 back in the day. I tried some of them ported to consoles along the way and there was no fun to be had there as far as I was concerned. I even had fun with Caveman Ugh-Lympics, but the Caveman Games port I tried was just ass.
