my free 36xbr250

Post by alexretro »

i got a free 36xbr250 with stand today. i plugged it in and noticed the picture a little off and some slight distortion especially with text. however it still has great color and looks good most of the time. is this fixable? or should i just replace it with another XBR. i plan on calling the tv repair guy tomorrow for a quote and wanted to hear what you all think.

There should be a setting in the menu for adjusting that tilt. A couple of my last few TVs had that option.

What sort of cables are you using? From here some of those distortions look like composite video artifacts. Try some s-video cables at least.

What video cables are you using? looks like just composite, so yeah text is going to be rather blurry.

Edit in that last pic yeah i see its composite. Try S-video or component cables, you will see a huge improvement ;)
