Another tip...if you find some good games in a pawn shop or thrift store that look like they were only recenty made available for purchase, you should check back in the next day. When stores like this get in large lots of video games, the employees often do not have time to tag all of them immediately. Accordingly, they may put part of a lot out one day and another part of the lot out the next day.
This tactic worked for me this morning. I grabbed a tremendous lot of PS2 RPGs from a local pawn shop this weekend. I decided to stop back by the pawn shop this morning, and - sure enough - there were even more great games available for sale. (Unfortunately for me, I already owned most of the new games (i.e., FFX, FFX-2, FFXII, Half Life, etc...but I still grabbed a complete copy of RPG Maker 3 for $3!)
Finally, I have grabbed a
ton of games this year, and except for the Hobie/Jmustang sale and a couple 2600 lots from Racketboy members, I acquired all of them "in the wild." There are games out there. You just have to keep looking for them.
