Isn't it kind of the point of a discussion forum... to discuss things? Sorry I didn't comb through a 124 page thread to see if it was mentioned. I did a thread title search. There was not a thread discussing this particular topic... but thank you for your stellar contribution.

Fuck off. You sincerely mean to suggest that if a thread didn't have "wii" and "flop" in the title that you'd believe we haven't discussed this very popular contemporary topic here yet? If you just did a basic search for those terms the very FIRST result for "Wii U Flop" prior to this thread is the "Wii U Thoughts So Far" thread: http://www.racketboy.com/forum/search.p ... p&start=30.

From the link at the top of that search result, the next page or more of the thread is a discussion of everything that's been discussed here and then some. It is a RECURRING theme in the dedicated "Wii U Thoughts So Far" thread.

Isn't it kind of the point of a community-based discussion board...to see what the community has already discussed? Thank you for failing at search and adding nothing with this thread.

It's just a forum, is it really worth acting like a jerk to someone over some ridiculous search. And 4 pages is more than enough evidence that it stirred up conversation, so why piss on everyone else's parade?

I suggested that this thread was redundant (and was the second one to do so). I didn't point out rules violations (oh, I see you edited that part out of your post...nevermind). Plenty of people don't like cluttered forums with the same topics discussed multiple places, especially when they have dedicated threads.

In any case, I wasn't being a jerk to start with - I was suggesting that this topic had already been discussed in hopes the OP might request a merge. The OP escalated things by sarcastically suggesting that I "was making a stellar contribution" by simply suggesting that the thread was redundant (something, again, that someone else had done prior - were they being a jerk too?). He coupled this with the suggestion he'd done good searching, which he clearly hadn't. I told him to "Fuck Off" only after he decided to be a dick to me (as is typically my response when someone uses piss poor arguments as a basis to insult me).

Anyway, thanks for keeping the discussion about the validity of this thread going, BurningDoom.
