Okami?

The fact that voice acting there is gibberish helps.

Not really. As awesome as Star Trek TNG is, I prefer Deep Space Nine because it's not all shiny and squeaky clean. The universe looks lived in in that show and that asthetic appeals to me more as a viewer because it seems closer to what the reality is likely to be if space travel ever becomes the norm. I think the 2009 film strikes a nice balance between the two styles.

Star Trek has no grit in it at all. The movie is insanely bright for what ever reason.

Yeah that's how I feel.

Phantasy Star looks pretty "clean" to me. In less it being 16 bit makes it dirty o.o

Now that's an interesting one.

Defend your position sir!

I'll agree that there are things Asylum did better, but I've never heard anyone say City sucked in comparison. I'm curious about your reasons.

While I still liked it I will agree that infamous 2 was kind of a letdown. I believe the biggest problem was the city. while visually interesting, short buildings don't make for fun superhero game play.

lol yeah. I'll put it this way, Blade Runner is my style, Oblivion (the new movie), not so much. I love sci-fi either way, but I also prefer the grittier styles.

Cyberpunk, methinks, is more attractive because its more realistic. Honestly, is everything going to be sleek, white, and fun in the future? Hell no.

I kind of felt the same way. It was fun having such a huge city to explore, but with all the side activities I felt the game kind of lost its focus. Was easy to get sidetracked and I wasn't really to impressed by a lot of the side activities.

There are already places in the world that are extremely clean and relatively crime free, why would the future be any different? I honestly cannot think of a game where there are not at least ghettos or rural areas that go with the whole sleek and sterile look of the future.
