I use the JFJ Easy Pro as well. It actually has worked great so far for me. Its saved around 40-50 discs which were deemed unreadable by the gaming gods so faraaron wrote: just curious, what resurfacing machine do you have? i bought a JFJ Easy Pro not too long ago and it's doing okay. it doesn't really want to work super well with the "resurfacing" part, but it buffs and polishes really well. i haven't bought the gamecube disc attachment yet, though.
Only game I have lost to it was I think street fighter vs Marvel for the PS1 picked it up for $0.75 but it had a chip on the edge and was beyond saving
The trick to resurfacing with the machine is to improvise. The instructions warn against repeatedly using the hard grit paper and say not to run it for more then 15 seconds at a time on any given disc, but in my experience it usually takes 20-30 secs for it to really get the majority of the deep scratches. So i usually start with a 10 or 20 second cycle then buff try it out and then repeat the process until it works. The worst game I have saved took about 7 cycles before my 360 would recognize it
