I use the JFJ Easy Pro as well. It actually has worked great so far for me. Its saved around 40-50 discs which were deemed unreadable by the gaming gods so far :). I have only used the GameCube attachment twice but each time I had great results saved Luigi's Mansion and Mario Kart Double Dash :).

Only game I have lost to it was I think street fighter vs Marvel for the PS1 picked it up for $0.75 but it had a chip on the edge and was beyond saving :P.

The trick to resurfacing with the machine is to improvise. The instructions warn against repeatedly using the hard grit paper and say not to run it for more then 15 seconds at a time on any given disc, but in my experience it usually takes 20-30 secs for it to really get the majority of the deep scratches. So i usually start with a 10 or 20 second cycle then buff try it out and then repeat the process until it works. The worst game I have saved took about 7 cycles before my 360 would recognize it :P.

XBox Console - Duke Controller - $39.50 BookOff
I held off buying the massive original Direct XBox, even returning a Christmas gift from my sister to the store when it first came out. At the time I was really (still am) into the PS2 and had no need for a "PC game console". After recently buying 28 XBox games for $20.00, I finally relented and am very happy with this console. It took all these years, to enjoy the upgraded version to N64 Conker! I still hate the Lava Race though.

BookOff is very cool, the employee recognized me as a regular and really helped me out in mix matching the pieces. I had a choice of five XBoxes to pick, so bought the newest console (August 2003) from the shelf along with an older Duke Controller, Power Cord, Composite AND Component Cables! I already have bought a set of Monster Component Cables on the cheap, still nice getting the MS brand cables with the breakout box. My 5200 console is still the biggest unit on the table, the XBox is the second. Many do not like the huge original Duke XBox controller, I like it for my big paws. :D

One thing I am finding is that XBox games have a DLC option, the first of the consoles to do this? The DLC is no longer available for purchase since original XBox console Live no longer is avalable. However, I think I picked the lucky console off the used shelf since there are HALO 2 extra maps already in the hard drive!

Inferno Game and Soundtrack - $5.00 BookOff
My favorite DOS game soundtrack that is also a bit of a rarity. Hard to describe the music style with the loud rock riff of the synthesized guitar combined with techno. The only way this CD could be acquired back in the day is to buy the Special Edition Tin Box Inferno game and taking the time to send in the coupon card all the way back to London. I have one and surprised to find a second buried in a Japanese Import Book Store! This CD is installed in the XBox Soundtrack Library, anticipating some great gaming with the Alien Sex Fiend music.

I picked up a few things today, but my four year old daughter got:

Beauty & The Beast: Belle's Quest (GEN; CIB); and
Strawberry Shortcake (GBA)

for $5! This purchase increases the size of her video game collectionby 50%, and - apparently - she can play these new games "all by [her]self with no help." We shall see...

EDIT: In addition to the aforementioned titles, her current collection consists of: Disney Princesses (GBA), Strawberry Shortcake: The Sweet Dreams Game (PS2); Cookie's Counting Carnival (Wii), and Agnitus (IP).

I had this. Can't remember where I got it from, but I have a feeling a friend had the game and maybe a shirt too? I Must have borrowed the CD and never gave it back. I ended up losing the disc almost ten years ago but I still have the case. I'd buy it again too if I ever saw it for sale.

Although Cash America Pawn wanted a whopping $119.99 for a bare NES console...I picked up these:

for a grand total of $25 (i.e., $2.25 per game).

All of the games are complete, and although it may be bad form, I will be placing Skies of Arcadia Legends (GC) and Fatal Frame II (Xbox) in my B/S/T thread. (I am also undecided on Stella Deus (PS2)...so, if you are interested in it, send me a PM.)

Strangely enough, I am most excited to find Darkened Skye (GC) since I have always wanted the "Skittles" game. I never wanted to spend much money on it, however; so, it is a surprise addition to my collection!
