Woman finds Stadium Events for $8 at Goodwill

If Goodwill gets wind of enough stuff like this, it may be the end of us getting good deals at any of their shops.

Hasn't that already happened? My local goodwill used to put giant "X" marks in permanent marker on their record jackets so they couldn't be resold. Almost all of the high dollar items go for auction online now, and the few things you find in the store are marked up like crazy.

You get a rare find now and again (obviously, because this thread) but for the most part they've wised up.

My Goodwill has been wonderful lately, to be honest with you. I've been going there almost every day, and I usually find something good there, retro-wise.

I'm not sure. I find a lot of Sega stuff, and some good Playstation stuff, but I rarely come across anything Nintendo. But judging by the stuff I have found I think that's because there are other collectors tapping into their stock right place, right time.

Apparently, the mystery woman took the game to Save Point Video Games in Charlotte, North Carolina to show it off and verify its authenticity:

It is a very good video game store, and I have met the owner on several occassions. (He is a regular over at nintendoage.) Moreover, the employees there are very knowledable, and I very much doubt that they would wilfully participate in a hoax. I will likely stop by the store next month, and when I do, I will certainly ask about the cart.

Wait, so prfsnl_gmr is actually a store owner that has been building up to this hoax for all the time he has been on this forum? It all makes sense now. Thank goodness Shazam was kind enough to come here and make those 3 posts to clear it all up
