Not sure if someone has already posted this article to the forums, but I couldn't find any related posts, so I figured I'd drop this link on here.

This elicits so many different emotions in me: anger, envy, sadness, fear, loneliness... Just... Why couldn't it be me? What if the boxed NES cleaning kit I found at GW the other day was the scraps of someone else's similar pickups? If only....
What do you guys think of this?

Not bad. If I ever found that game (or something similar) I would immediately sell it to buy 100 better, cheaper games.
Re: Woman finds Stadium Events for $8 at Goodwill
I think if I ever happened across some insane find like that I would be way too tempted to take pics of me doing horrible things to it and post them everywhere to ever get around to selling it.

Good for her. She's gonna be using the money for a good purpose, so I'm glad she was able to find it rather than some collector or whatever.
I feel old when talking to anyone my age yet too inexperienced to effectively talk to anyone older. Life is grand that way.

My problem is with it being it being so publicized. It's one thing to post about your good finds on a forum like RB, but it's another to have freaking IGN announce it from the rooftops. If Goodwill gets wind of enough stuff like this, it may be the end of us getting good deals at any of their shops.

It's already happened. Goodwill in these parts is using eBay to price games and locking them under glass.

That sucks man, I'm sorry to hear that. Luckily, I'm pretty sure each store(region?) gets to decide that for themselves.BoneSnapDeez wrote:It's already happened. Goodwill in these parts is using eBay to price games and locking them under glass.

Hasn't that already happened? My local goodwill used to put giant "X" marks in permanent marker on their record jackets so they couldn't be resold. Almost all of the high dollar items go for auction online now, and the few things you find in the store are marked up like crazy. If Goodwill gets wind of enough stuff like this, it may be the end of us getting good deals at any of their shops.
You get a rare find now and again (obviously, because this thread) but for the most part they've wised up.
