Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
Debating on getting the NES or Famicom versions of Megaman. I have Megaman 1 on the NES, but getting 2-6 will cost me at minimum $160 but more likely over $200, where as getting all six Rockmans will cost me $100ish most days of the week. While I would rather have the NES ones, my wallet is saying go famicom, but I am still hotly debating it.

Can't be that bad can it? 1 seems to be the priciest one at this point. Unless you're going for CIB, I'm sure that can get up there.fastbilly1 wrote:Debating on getting the NES or Famicom versions of Megaman. 2 & 3 are cheap, i.e. < $10. 1 is pricey, but worth it. I'm skipping 4-6 for now. Still, you're only looking at barely over $100 for all 6 when I was looking at it, maybe hitting $150 tops. Not sure where you're getting the higher prices. Have they gone up significantly lately?
Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I'm currently playing the original Uncharted and just saw a cutscene that contains a plot point taken straight out of an episode of The Simpsons. One of the characters isn't killed by a gunshot because they had a leatherbound book in their front-pocket. I think I hate the game's plot even more.
I didn't think 2 was that hard at all on Normal difficulty. The first on the other hand I thought was one of those games that was hard for all the wrong reasons. While the third game is very easy, it's still not an enjoyable experience.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Hmmm..... this new Ninja Gaiden sounds appealing to me. 1 & 2 are frustrating and overly difficult.
Do you have some other way of playing the Mega Man games such as the Complete Works collection or the Anniversary Collection? If so, I'd just play one of those until I get all six of the original carts.fastbilly1 wrote:Debating on getting the NES or Famicom versions of Megaman. Having something in a pocket save a person from a gunshot was around waaaaaaay before some Simpsons episode did it.GSZX1337 wrote:I'm currently playing the original Uncharted and just saw a cutscene that contains a plot point taken straight out of an episode of The Simpsons. I suppose (I don't know much about movies/serials so The Simpsons episode is the first time I saw it), but I still think it's pretty stupid. Even if I weren't a Simpsons junkie, I'd be thinking: "I'm pretty sure a gun can shoot a bullet through that and kill him.". Maybe I'm putting too much thought into the plot.Hobie-wan wrote:Having something in a pocket save a person from a gunshot was around waaaaaaay before some Simpsons episode did it.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
^Pages become denser as the bullet travels through it. It's folkloric that a Bible saves a person from a gunshot wound. I've heard stories (back when I was researching cult legends) of people saved from that during war time. I could date it at *least* as far back as the 70s. I have no doubt it's from much earlier when bullets probably couldn't pierce a Bible.

I actually had a second loose copy of the game too. I either sold it to or gave it away to someone on the forum a long time ago, can't remember which. I honestly don't remember it being as expensive as it is now. What gives?

I think the price spiked up once Mike Matei showcased it in a video he made about SNES hidden gems.Gamerforlife wrote:*Hugs COMPLETE copy of game with all inserts and instructions*foxhound1022 wrote:Has anyone checked the price of Wild Guns lately? Holy hell.

You know it's ironic. When we do these hidden gems articles and videos it almost makes you wonder if we're doing a disservice to gamers when it inflates prices like that
"Here's this awesome game that I'm showing you, which you'll never get to play because now that I've done this video the game costs over 100 dollars!"
