Two way street and arms up situation. Stinks for sure, but make the best of it.

Frown/Smile/other stuff: A kid, maybe four or five years of age asked me "what's wrong with your hand?". I responded "Nothing. God makes us all different, and he gave me a challenge!"(generic response) . Kid said, "I think God doesn't like you or you don't deserve two hands".

I kept it together until I got home, but that comment destroyed me for a few minutes when I got home. My hide is Rhino thick, but kids can make it paper thin. Like comedy, it was all in his delivery.

The comment is easy to shake off, but the look in the kid's eyes when he said "I think God doesn't like you" was something out of a Exorcist movie.

But Hey! Homemade pizza for dinner!

I had something similar happen to me about a month ago. It's weird how stuff that you would normally be able to brush off or something mundane can hit you when you're not expecting it.

Don't sweat the small stuff. It's no consolation, but I find it puzzling that humans in general tend to inquire about things that are pretty central to our being or identity as if that's the only quality that's important to you or sums up your life. I'd venture you'd say that your hand has played somewhat of a role in your life, but it just seems so weird that of all things that can be talked about, we focus on what separates us instead of what brings us together.

All that aside--yeah our Trader Joes at least sells a few fairly popular beers. Off the top of my head: Newcastle, Heineken, Red Stripe, Corona, Oberon, Two Hearted. Some of the beers we get are local, even outside of Bells. If you have one down in your neck of the woods, pop in. If you've had a hard time finding it, they may actually have it. Then again, if you have a Wegman's, you probably don't have a problem getting the beers you want.

remember folks bridges ice up before the rest of the roads. I just completely spun out my van after getting off the freeway. Not fun. I didn't hit anything and I'm fine but all my work stuff in the back is shifted and fallen over so I'm going to have to rearrange it all. I'm getting really sick of this rain.

Smile: The MTV Movie and Random Stuff Awards. What a train wreck that was. Will getting Kanye'd was probably the highlight of so many "I don't give a crap about this show" moments.

Such a bizarre show that seemed to have had two days of prep.

We never got rain, just thick and heavy snow, 5 more inches of it on top of the 18" from Thursday night, which was on top of the 12-24" that hadn't melted yet. The stuff is just like peanut butter, can not move in it.

School had 2-hour delay, so they'll get credit for the day, which is a relief. Took me an hour to get out of my drive, but better than Friday when I didn't make it out all day.

I have a defense class in Moose Lake today and it's only 1 of 2 dates this group gets together all year, so if I have to cancel due to weather, it'd really be letting down a ton of people. On top of that, any time I have a night class, my wife and kids make plans to get other things done w/o me since we really don't like being apart - so they all have plans already. Really hoping for a day of no more precip and the plows can do their thing.

Well, your mistake was watching it in the first place. MTV had been going downhill ever since Daria ended, especially since the audience they were starting to aim for was the primary target of Daria's criticism, but I knew they were truly dead when they gave the "best movie" award to Twilight and cemented their status as the most brainless channel on television.

EDIT: Smile- Seeing The Good Wife actually portray Anonymous more or less accurately in last night's episode. It would have been very easy for the writers to make them seem villianous, but they took a more even handed approach and basically said that while some may rightfully see them as heroic, others may equally rightfully see them as doing more harm than good.
