@jinx, you must understand. This is a video game forum...on the internet...mostly w/strangers. You'll need to get more serious if you want to survive here!
Now, i'm sure i'm a post late with this and Luke's day is going to feel classier, but the following is mostly (Miracle Max) true.
The day started off solid, went to Target where I was met with a heck of a surprise. Not only was Green Apple licorice in stock - it was cheaper than the original red. Things were boding well.
When we got home, we played some challenging games of Jenga with my wife and her brother. We got up to 23 lines once, so there was a lot of positive energy in the air.
My wife went to do miracle piano lessons so John and I could talk. He's also been having a hard time with a life choice. He really likes the comfort, security, and feel of briefs but he thinks boxers look a lot cooler. Now, i've been here before so I felt like I had some sound advice for him. The boxer-brief option is often mentioned, but still underutilized. I gladly sang their praises and told my success story.
We topped off a nice day with some cheap, but darn tasty food. Hormel hot dogs boiled in water topped w/Hormel canned chili (no beans). Cheap and effective.
Pro Tip: You can use the hot dog water as a base for your soup the next day.
Love yr stories, Luke. Keep keeping it real.

It's not a joke, inexperienced girls turn me off and I consider it a negative.Forlorn Drifter wrote:Knew that joke was coming.General_Norris wrote:If you are going to have sex, why not have it with someone who knows how to do it?

Naw, not at all.
I almost always enjoy your smile / ticked posts. They often start out as feeling a bit, "Dear Diary, ...." but you're a genuine dude, and that comes through in yr story telling.
The Goose Island story I relate too, though I paid $51 for my six-pack (one at a time, $8.50 a pop in Wrigleyville).

smile: watched Star Wars with the kids(their first time). Started with episdoe 4
afterwards my 5 year old asked me if Anakin was in the next one and I wasn't quite sure how to answer, but I wouldn't call that a frown
smile #2: smoking some ribs today
frown: wish it was warmer so I could get the yard work I had planned while they are cooking done.

That is where I first had 312. Remember it like yesterday.mjmjr25 wrote: The Goose Island story I relate too, though I paid $51 for my six-pack (one at a time, $8.50 a pop in Wrigleyville).
It was the first time I ever did stand-up, at the request of my cousin (camera left/awful picture, google Emily Lake) at the Chicago center for the arts. Afterwards we hit up Piece Pizza for a late snack then hit the outdoor bars to tie a couple on. I forget the name of the bar featured in the following picture, but we had to wait for my cousins buddies (featured in same picture) so I pretended to be the bar's doorman and checked ID's.
"Need to see your ID...Okay, have a great and safe time. No smoking."
I guess you had to be there, but my cousins were laughing their behinds off at my doorman demeanor.
When I purchased the sixer of 312 the bartender actually cut me a break and didn't charge full price, and when I went outside with the sixer my cousin Stevie (obviously next to my cousin Emily) greeted me with a huge "Look at THIS guy!".
Met a lot of temporary friends that night, and the entire scene was nothing but people having a good time. No drunks, no fights, no drama. Can't wait to go back asap.

edit* Probably everyone knows, but for clarification I'm the guy in the middle with the chubby face and King's Gyro's T.

Funny, we did the same thing over the past 3 weekends. We started w/episode 1 and then watched them in order.the King wrote:smile: watched Star Wars with the kids(their first time). Started with episdoe 4
I am sad to report 3 things:
-The enjoyed the first 3 more than the original 3 we all grew up with - and they were relatively bored with the last 3 :/
-They commented how fake the ewok costumes in RotJ looked. (they were right :/ )
-They (10yo, 7yo, 5yo, 3yo) all liked Jar Jar Binks.
I don't know if this is sad, but the oldest 3 also commented how the light saber battles were significantly better in the first 3 (new) movies.
Something I noticed and don't recall thinking at all as a child. Carri Fisher is not attractive, nor a good actress.
