Smile: Picked up a bitchin food processor and a nice cast iron skillet. Also on a whim I decided to look at TVs, since I have some fairly specific input requirements (several HDMI, two component, one d-sub) and snagged one for $1000 off (last year's dispaly model). Looks like this was the right time too, as there aren't many TVs that have d-sub connectors anymore. I'd hate to have waited a few years and be up shit's creek.

As in VGA? Dang, those are rare these days.

Speaking of TVs, I spotted a 40" (that's an estimate) Wega CRT at Goodwill today. Thing was epic as hell, but I don't think there's any way I could lift it and get it in my car - let alone carry it to the second floor once I got home! They were asking $30 for it and I know I've seen it sitting there for months.

Yeah, those things are beastly; great TV, if you don't mind the potential hernia.

I know, I totally love 'em - but getting my 20" up the stairs here was enough of a battle.

Yeah, that's what I discovered in the store. The clerk and I were looking behind every panel to see which TVs I would even be interested in.

I thunk I'm done with this forum. Most of you will probably be happy about it. Mrmj's thread really pissed me off and made me not care he got scammed out of 2k for real.

Why are so many people butt-hurt over that thread? It's not like we gave him our money, or even "knew what was in those boxes". I thought it was hilarious and kept me entertained at work. Plus, I just spent a load of money on the "hoobastang" purchase. Got my fix of "huge incoming" stuff with that.

Played PSO on the Sylverant servers today. Met some new friends that showed me a lot of stuff and and tons of fun. Unfortunately, I had just missed out on the weekly meet-up of Dreamcast Live.

Made substantial progress on a project I've been working on over the weekend. If all goes well, I may announce what I'm doing here, but many of you aren't likely to give a crap.

I haven't been on the forums in a couple of days. Even though it gives ma a lot to read while I'm at work, it always feels like a chore catching up.

That also reminds me that this is my Monday. Got a whole work week ahead of me, and I really want to keep working on my project.

Smile: I can't believe yesterday kept getting better and more enjoyable. Stopped by my local grocer to find that they sold Goose Island 312. $9.00 a six pack, but seeing as last time I paid $32.00 for a sixer of it (I was at a club in the windy city) I was thrilled to simply have some go in my fridge.

After a few rounds of croquet with my wife, Pringles called and we started to plan another sausage party. Fired up the grill, and cooked six Bockwurst, ten weisswurst, made authentic sauerkraut, apple sauce, and a salad. It was a feast for the six of us.

After dinner a friend and I had a heart to heart, as he's worried about getting married. I can jibber jabber with the best of 'em, but I also make a great sounding board. It was therapeutic for him to vent a bit.

After some listening to records an some shenanigans, the girls worked on a puzzle (and a few bottles of wine) as us guys played 2 player mode on SMB.3 and passed controllers when necessary.

All around a great day.
