No, I said there has been an increase in demand. I didn't go into the reasons for such an increase.
then the sellers are just taking advantage of people who don't know better. That's wrong.
Nobody forces you to buy old videogames, it's a luxury item.

Old videogames are a scarce resource. Whoever is willing to pay more will get them. There's a higher demand, so people pay more, so my old videogames sell for a higher amount of money.

I have the right to sell my videogames at any price I see fit and buyers have the right to buy them at any price they see fit.

I just went through this site again after I thought I made the biggest discovery in Racketboy history a while back (only to be told that a thread has already been created for it, so I added to the duplicate thread syndrome here :x) and it's a good resource for current listings and completed auction prices.

There's a few BINs for around $10, plus most of the auctions start at 99 cents, so that's not too bad. I was concerned that the few people trying to sell it for $30 and up all of a sudden would cause everyone else to go that high, but most people aren't, which is a good thing.
Price of Ducktales 2 however shot up $50ish right after the announcement, then dropped back down over last week.

I fail too miss the point of this whole debate about video game prices. 1965 had hundreds of thousands of mustangs produced. How much will buying one now set you back? 20-30K+? The AMC Marlin was produced in VERY VERY VERY limited numbers. But the demand for these cars is virtually nonexistent. You can pick up a Fully restored or a sub 30K miles all original for around 10K. Is the market fair? Do i think a car that sold over 400K+ Units in one year should ever cost more than 10 grand? Not really, but thats just how the market is.
