Hmm I can see where you're coming from for sure. I was really drawn in to the movie but was taking breaks throughout. I do think it would have been much better off as a mini series rather then a movie but then again it probably wouldn't have had near as good of a cast.Hobie-wan wrote:It was a beautiful looking movie for sure, but the story was a mess. There were many nice moments, but as a whole it was kind of silly and failed to be poignant as they obviously intended. I felt very much like I did after watching the latter 2 Matrix movies. Visually dazzled, but ultimately disappointed.flex wood wrote:User blocked.elmagicochrisg wrote:CloudAtlas

Seriously though you didn't like the movie? I thought it was awesome wanted to watch it again right after I finished it.
What was the last movie you've seen?

He is way harsher than I am, and if I had my own review site it would include my "real reviews" which I don't post here. Reading my written reviews would be as fun as watching paint dry.Retrodude wrote:Huh. I figured you would be interested because when you write a negative review, it sounds a lot like his. Oh well.
Actually it would be more like painting, as sometimes they seem like a chore to read (especially if I don't get a private screening because then I have to include start time, actual start time, # in attendance, break down of audience, trailers included, etc.). It's much more fun to come here and give quick and blunt reviews.
But I did enjoy reading some of the guy's reviews, so thanks for the link.
So... I think we all know Capcom remastered Duck Tales, yes? I highly doubt the reboot is ending there. I'm not promising a Duck Tales movie is in the works, but I'm not denying it either.

Maybe you should post one of them here one of these days just for kicks. I'm kinda curious.Luke wrote: He is way harsher than I am, and if I had my own review site it would include my "real reviews" which I don't post here. Reading my written reviews would be as fun as watching paint dry.

I can do that. The review will be heavily edited due to privacy issues, but the next theatrical release review I write I'll post. Expect heavy nonsense like:AppleQueso wrote: Maybe you should post one of them here one of these days just for kicks. I'm kinda curious.

Those kinds of reviews are a pain in the ass to write

John Carpenter's Christine
Ya know Pepper, ya can't polish a turd. Sums up the whole film

Big time pain in the rear, and it can make enjoying a movie somewhat of a challenge. But screw it, I feel lucky and privileged that my opinion is valued.fastbilly1 wrote:Those kinds of reviews are a pain in the ass to write
Boring as hell those reviews are.
Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
That's awesome to hear, man. That's exactly what I was hoping for. Ya know, back when they were making the first DuckTales movie, they had plans for a second one, so I'm really hoping they'll dust that off and finally produce it. It would also be really cool if they finally made the Rescue Rangers movie they'd planned on.Luke wrote:I'm not promising a Duck Tales movie is in the works, but I'm not denying it either.
I'm not a glitch, I just have pixlexia.

Do they let you write while the movie is going? Last one of those I did I ended up writing most of it before I left the movie since it was so predictable.Luke wrote:Big time pain in the rear, and it can make enjoying a movie somewhat of a challenge. Always. Another reason detailed reviews are a pain; I'm sure I'm distracting others.fastbilly1 wrote: Do they let you write while the movie is going?
