I have a vacation coming up this summer, and you just gave me a great idea. We already had lots of plans, but we were trying to figure out something to do as a family. It maybe to hot for a bonfire, but maybe just a little camp fire out back.
*hangs head in shame* I used a cheap starter stick to get the fire going. You get around a dozen for a few bucks, and they do come in handy when you want to start a fire in a hurry. You might want to bring some on your vacation.
Not to sound like a PSA, but good friends are all you really need to have a good time.

We buy our at the local flea markets. (They are a nice bonus when I go hunting for video games.) I don't think that there are many flea markets in that part of the state, however, so I would try the hispanic grocery stores.

She's not a bad looking woman.
I can't look her in the eye this morning.
I've done this before with my old General Manager.

We built a firepit in our backyard for this reason back in January. Sadly we dont have the yard furniture to go around it yet and when it hasnt been raining it has been snowing or really windy. So while it looks great in the backyard, it still hasnt been used yet. Its suppose to be perfect for it next week though.

Give the inside of the fire pit a decent treatment of Rust-oleum if you haven't already. Even the high end fire pits are subject to rust. Unless the fire pit you built is made of stone...then rust-oleum would be silly.

Bingo. Its a two foot stack of stone in a circle with the inside dug down about 6inches and filled with playground sand. The sand and is just to be safe, and I know we will have issues with airflow initially. The area around the pit will be river pebbles eventually (once the price of fuel drops so it is cost effective to pick them up). My parents have a metal firepit that they have had to retrofit in a new bottom since it rusted out - after three years of heavy use. And while I would love a fancy metal firepit, free is free...
I'm doing IT stuff at work and I'm in charge of all the computerized standardized testing. It's a bit of a pain in the ass. Because of some glitch all of my non-Caucasian students were assigned to 3rd grade and now I have to re-assign them.
It's still cold as hell in Maine and my front yard is covered in snow. I want to take the baby for walks, but I'll have to wait a few more weeks.
Weekend is coming soon enough and I have several video game related packages coming soon. Plus, my in-laws aren't visiting!
