So it only took me the better part of a year to get the second volume finished and released for the iPad (darn life and whatnot screwing things up). But if anybody has an iPad and wants to check it out, head to www.TheVgaTV.com or search for it on iTunes/iBookstore (it's under Sega Master System Encyclopedia). I also reduced the price to $2.99 because i want more people to read it.
If anybody has any feedback on it please send it my way. The SMS project is is sort of a trial run for me to work out the kinks for a bigger project next, so any advice would be greatly appreciated since y'all are my target audience.
For those unfamiliar with this project, i'm doing a mid-sized review (750-1200 words), relevant info (developer, release year, etc), cover scan, screenshot galleries, and 60-90 seconds of gameplay footage.
Finally released the SMS Encyclopedia vol. 2. Feedback?

Any plans to release this on anything but the iPad? I'd love to look through this, but I don't have a smartphone/tablet.

That cover looks awfully generic, I'd put up something a little flashier than that as it looks like one of those publications that just has C&Ped information from Wikipedia.

Right now it's only the iPad since none of the other book marketplaces can play video (or if they can there is no readilly available software where I can create that content).
And I know it's a bit bland. I'm still trying to get a handle on this software. Plus I not a designer in the least bit so it's difficult for me to make something that looks even remotely good. But I will keep it in mind for the next project.

I avoid i-devices, but most every e-book format allows hotlinking in some way, and there are many portable-friendly video servers available. I'd love to check it out, but I can't. I have most of the commercial book readers on my Android and PC.

I understand that hot linking is available, but with the iPad everything is self contained, which means 5-10 years from now these ebooks are still going to be around and functioning, which was my goal. It's only a matter of time before the rest of the ebook readers catchup to the iPad, and when they do I'm going to have a ton of content ready to be put on there.

Actually I think my next target is going to be the Turbo-Grafx. I had the system when I was younger but only remember a few games from it do it should be fun to explore the system since I know almost nothing about it.
