Wipeout HD

Post by dsheinem »

Anyone else download this today? The game is drop dead gorgeous and plays like a dream - highly recommended and a steal for $19.99. I'm looking forward to putting in the time to unlock everything, earn trophies, and hone my rusty Wipeout skills.

Wanna race? psn id= dsheinem. I'll be devoting large chunks of time to this tomorrow and all weekend.

Maybe its just me, but $20 seems steep to me for a "digital download". Id rather have it on CD/DVD/Bluray format. So, ill probably pass. If i pay $20 for a game, I want to be able to bring it to a friends ps3. (and not have to download it there)

This is one of those games that makes me wish I had a PS3. :D

Bought this today. Felt a bit hacked off due to it costing £12 here. It's not too bad though. Better value for money than GT5: Prologue at £24.99 on digital download, especially when you can get it in Tesco for £19.97 for a physical disc.

Anyways. The tracks are pretty much identical to Wipeout Pulse, except for a big improvement in detail and smoother frame rate. The grid system is pulled directly out of pulse. I'm hoping that there's some extra content in here rather than just a graphical update to pulse since I've played pulse heavily since it came out.

I'm going to be really cheesed off if I've paid twice for the same game...

Just hope the online play is worth it!

Anyone else using the sixaxis pitch control alongside analogue steering? Also sixaxis on full control suits this game down to the ground. It's extremely intuitive given the floaty nature of the crafts. I still prefer using the analogue to steer and the sixaxis for pitch. It gives the largest amount of control possible.
