HELP!!! (Pikmin 2 not working)

Yesterday I went to a video game store and bought Pikmin 2 for the gamecube (black label, CIB) for 45$. Today when I put the game in my wii the game would not load. The screen would say "Unable to read the disc". I cleaned the disk many times even though it just has one tiny scratch. Pikmin 2 would still not load. All my other gamecube games work on the wii and have more scratches than pikmin 2. Does anybody know how to make it work? Thanks!

(Also the store does not accept returns on used games unless they are defected, and if it is defected you can only trade it in for another copy of that game, so I really need help fixing this)

You want the game. The game is defective. Go get a working copy of the game. If they don't have a working copy in stock, they'll issue a refund i'm sure.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm trying to see if I can fix the game before having to get my parents to drive me to the video game store. If the game is un-fixable, I will probably bring it back and hopefully get a refund.

Nope.

There's nothing to fix unless you have a disc resurfacer. In either case, if you make attempts to "fix" you lessen the chances you'll get a refund. Just bring it back. It isn't the system or any other ancillary reasons.

Have u played GCN games on our Wii before? Didn't they remove backwards compatibility on late model Wii's? Try other GCN games first. Then u can rule that out.

Ya, I tried other gamecube games and they work perfectly on the wii. Actually maybe its a problem with my wii. Pikmin 2 plays perfectly on a gamecube system. is there any way to make my wii recognize pikmin 2? thanks.
