What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

ebay seller hit-japan is a real piece of shit. She/he/they sold me a game that was listed as "good" but was in rough condition, so they earned a negative review (not the first time this has happened). After a bit, they asked me to take down the review and they would issue a partial refund. No refund ever came, and - which is totally my fault - the time for filing an ebay complaint lapsed. Now I go to make an offer on a game (which I can see a clear picture of!) and I'm blocked. Seriously, fuck them and their shitty ways.
I missed this post the first time reading through the thread today - but I'm actually really shocked to hear this.

I've had nothing but good experiences with hit-japan. In fact, my AES, PC Engine Duo, and Wonderswan Color are from that particular seller - all arrived in great shape and exactly as described. I'd say about 50% of the import games I own are from him too. If you ordered a game that wasn't super-rare, I'm guessing he had multiple copies in stock and sent you the wrong one.

Either way, you certainly should have gotten a refund and shouldn't be blocked.

Oh man I don't know about any of this complicated stuff. I'm a retro gamer, I just stick games in consoles and turn them on. Good to know though.

:( Our water was shut off in our new place, and we gotta get it back on, but it'll probably be Monday when that happens.

 We also don't have a car and we're pretty much broke until we get jobs and then our first paychecks

:) Mom starts her new job soon, and she's got a meeting soon at Disney University

:( But without a car, she'll have to take the bus, and according to her it'll take about 2-2.5 hours

Reading a student paper today. Student says he wanted to use A Clockwork Orange for his paper because it was one of the more amusing films he ever saw.

Should i laugh or should i worry for my safety?

Hell, I could even forgive the lack of a refund. But a full on block?

Maybe he thought it was a bad movie and was amused by the things that horrified viewers in the past. I had the same reaction to North By Northwest when I had to watch it for a class. Everyone says it's Hitchcock's greatest film, but I just don't see it. I thought it was one of the most ludicrous, laughable films I've ever seen.
I'm not a glitch, I just have pixlexia.

:D Redman show tonight, at the venue my old buddy Cliff works the door at, so free Redman show for me tonight! Redman was my favorite rapper when I was a kid so I'm excited hopefully he will mostly just play his old stuff because his last 2 albums have been absolute crap. Maybe he'll drop a verse from the blackout 3 that's coming out soon too.

Given that student's previous efforts, id doubt that, but its possible i suppose.

I'm going to hope for that.

The alternative is too worrisome.

Yea a lot of my friends didn't like that album but i always thought it was really solid. Doc's da name or muddy waters is my favorite can't really decide. I used to play pick it up from muddy waters in class at high school and one of the teachers, who loves Redman would sing along even though the song was clearly against school policy (the chorus goes if you find a bag of weed on the ground what the f are you going to do.)
