I loooove cutesy horror games!!!!! For me, nothing tops Cotton Fantastic Night Dream and its sequel, Cotton 2 Magical Night Dream! The first one is a cutesy anime-shmup hommage to Ghosts and Goblins, and its influence can in no small part be seen in Deathsmiles and even Blazblue.

Oh, and Blazblue, Rachel is the epitome of light-hearted/comedic/silly horror!

I loved Gregory Horror Show.

Actually it was pretty damn disturbing too.
If each mistake being made is a new one, then progress is being made.

Don't know if anyone else brought it up, but "Nightmare in the dark" for the Neo Geo MVS comes to mind. It's basically bubble bobble with a gravedigger.
