I remember I got an Agetec stick when I got my first DC. I had preordered it from some store online. I got the Japanese DC with Marvel Vs Capcom, Sonic Adventure and the stick. It was awesome!

Smile: This might sound evil and douchey, and I don't mean to sound like I'm reveling in someone else's misfortune. I grew up with a girl named Valerie. We were close friends for almost 30 years. A couple of years ago, her and I had a huge falling out. Basically she was an evil person that was manipulative, thankless, thoughtless, uncaring, a user and selfish/self absorbed. I cut her out of my life and hadn't seen her for almost two years.

This girl was/is obsessed with fashion, weightloss, with what other people thought of her while growing up. She's been attractive her whole life, but shes one of those girls that would shy away from pictures because she was 'so ugly' blah blah blah. I guess knowing her for so long and viewing her as a sister made me look past these things until there was a breaking point. And the breaking point was pretty fucking epic. The wife still has minimal contact with her, has her facebook, etc. But that's about the extent of it. Suffice to say, Val and her husband do not get along well with my wife and I.

Anyway, to this day (shes 33) she still constantly talks about her new diets. In the last 6 months or so shes tried like 8 diets. I saw her last night at some function, and she gained quite a bit of weight. Even the wife commented to me about it. Like I said I'm not pointing fingers and sayng HA HA YOU GOT FAT (im quite a large person m'self) but I think it's funny/sad that shes spent hundreds if not thousands of dollars on diets and fashion in the last couple of years and she 'got fat'. I kinda feel bad for her husband because shes the type of woman that if she gains or loses a pound, its 'new wardrobe time'. I'm not even kidding. She believes in 'retail therapy' and this 'retail therapy' is the cure for everything. Headaches, a bad day at work, having to wake up, etc.

frown: i think im getting a cold.

I sorta kinda get where you are coming from. You see the irony in her situation, but not going full Nelson "Ha ha!" at her.

Since college, every girl I've been dumped by or had broken up with has gained enough weight to make them look like a different person. And I'm not referring to the weight everyone gets when they get older, I'm talking about some serious poundage.

Smile: Yesterday was trash day, and I always bring in both of my next door neighbor's bins in for them, usually solid snake style. Yesterday I got caught red-handed by my neighbor Will who is in late 60's (my wife and I are really young compared to the rest of the neighborhood) and not only did he thank me, he tried to reward me with purchasing lawn care service for me for a month.

I thanked him but insisted that he shouldn't, as I never expected anything in return as I'm simply trying to be a helpful neighbor.

While leaving for work, my other neighbors also thanked me and said "What a wonderful and kind gesture", and I'm thinking "Dudes, I'm just bringing in your bins for ya".

Good to know little acts of kindness still go a long way for some.

Frown: My sleep schedule is totally out of sync. I keep waking up 4am-ish and can't fall back to sleep. I'd try a sleep aid, but I have sleep walking issues that make taking sleep aids a no-no. Once I'm up, I'm up, and that's no fun.

Ticked: bullshit drama

Smile: should be able to sit down and just play extended sessions of video games tonight, something that I've been itching to do for a week or more now (PAX East is full of mostly 5-10 minute gameplay sessions, often standing)

Try working nights, your sleep schedule will never be consistent. :)

A regular workout routine helped me in this department tremendously. I had issues with not being able to even fall asleep, then being tired all day at work... bad situation.

In an effort of fairness, this also happened to a lot of people I knew in High School, and not just girls. Actually, if their Facebook photos can be believed, most of the girls I knew in High School look pretty much the same. Some of the guys on the other hand....yikes. The majority of them have gained at least 10-20 extra pounds. I was quite shocked the first time I saw a couple of them. They looked swollen forms of their former selves. I was concerned for their cardiac health.

I'll walk downstairs, stretch, do fifty consecutive push-ups, 100 crunches, and still I can't get back to bed. I try to wear myself out before going to bed as well.

When I wake up it is like a cartoon character having a bright idea. The light turns on with a *!!!DING!!!* and I can't get back to sleep.

I'm sure my body will work it out sooner or later.
