GB cart works on my Super GameBoy but not on my Gameboy why?

Try it on an actual Game Boy, not an Advance. I've had the same problem with bootlegs before not working on a GBA but worked just fine on a GBC.

Is the contrast on the gameboy low? I remember watching this old Nintendo training video and some customer came up with his old game boy and he heard the sound of the game but there was no picture and it was just that the contrast was turned down. Do other games work fine on the GameBoy?

I just watched that whole video and the only thing I could think was:
"God, this customer service representative is a major douche. So condescending." And then it cuts away to the narrator saying something along the lines of "these people just slow everyone down and it's no good for anyone. They just don't stop to read the really freaking simple instruction manual."
