You should really watch the never ending story 3 then, by far the best role he has ever done and probably one of the best performances that has ever graced a direct to DVD movie of all time.
Can't tell if serious or joking. Does not compute.

Having a silent emotional breakdown while your mom yells at you is fun.

Update on my roommate adventures a few pages back, the funny thing is you guys got the recap. I ranted it all out with bruno and another friend earlier. I even took pictures, so get ready for a ride.

Naturally he hasn't said a word yet about the place since he got back. If he didn't initially then I know he won't at all.

The best part is he's kind of a hothead, so he gets insanely defensive if I point things out as I did in the earlier months. I only remember one case, but I told him he was washing the kitchen rags since there was like ~5 dirty ones on the counter in his little corner. He tried to argue he didn't use them all, but... *sigh*

That's disgusting.
It's also his only towel that he washes like once a month if even. It stinks.
Luke wrote:Or, you can be more direct and explain that if you are working like a maid, you should get paid like one and pay less rent. But that could lead to confrontation (people and their money) so I strongly suggest the "I'm doing X, you go do Y" route.
Yeah someone else suggested this very thing as well. I pay a bit more for the bigger room but that's the only reason why, yet yeah, if I'm busting my ass to keep the place orderly, along with being the single only one that brings additions to the place (dishes, utilities, furniture, mats, the smallest things etc), then yeah, I'm starting to think this is pretty unfair.

A sink full of dirty dishes is major chick repellant. Dirty dishes also seem to be a hot topic when it comes to lazy roommates.

Very simple solution: always wash your dishes after use. So much finger pointing goes on with roommates when it comes to doing dishes. There shouldn't be "turns" just be responsible for your own dishes. Problem solved.
I wanna attempt to teach him this, but yeah just don't know if it's possible with this guy.

I started putting up a small towel next to the sink as we did at my parents and yeah, we'd rinse dishes as they were used and set them to the side. So all you had to do was throw them in the dishwasher when it was time. I explained to him why I put that towel out, and started doing that. I think it was that very week, I noticed he'd start re-using those dishes sometimes, or put his own shit up there, and yeah it didn't work out. Now I'm just gonna try putting them straight up in the dishwasher as they're used.

Wish I could say we could just use our own dishes, but they're all mine. One of the many reasons why I wish myself and all my stuff could disappear for an entire day, so he'd get the biggest slap in the face.

So here we go:
- Again, the sink, that is entirely his doing. I hope I didn't catch a disease cleaning that out. The top image, that is "his corner"... and of course he has to do this protein heavy diet thing, 5 meals a day, constantly making shakes, using the crock pot and stuff, so he makes messes the instant after I clean stuff.

vs

- The blender on the right, next to the fridge, that's mine and that's usually the full amount of counter space I get to use. Or feel safe using (that's what I don't get about all this, you eat here and prepare food, no need for sanitation apparently?)

There's already rice and shit in BOTH sinks again. That's what really boils my piss for some reason, why he puts food in the right side when that's clearly not made for food and stuff can't really go down that side.

- Sneak peak of his room.

- Mine.

Nuff' said.

- Bottom bit is his stuff, I guess he collects boxes. Never puts cartons and stuff in the trash either until I gather them up and put them in their own bag to take them out usually, so I'm not sure if he's trying to collect those either or not. And one of the protein cases there was sitting on the kitchen booth since... the week we got here. I once asked if it was his or why it was there and he just laughed that it was his dad's, whom he visits like once a week at the least. So I just threw it down there with all that other crap. He probably didn't even notice. Maybe that's all trash?

- Okay, he owns the table/chairs... guess it's fair it can be his trash shelf?

More motivation to find a better job sometime I guess and get out completely on my own. He's like my best friend, but wow. Lazy as hell outside of his basic routines and I just laugh at wondering what the heck he'd do without me. All he does is make sure we always have milk, he's good at paying the rent asap, and... think that's it, things I could easily handle if he weren't around. But things I do that he doesn't? Now that's a few pages...
