Oh, boy! Though according to my collegues my opinions aren't actually that unpopular.
- JRPGs are a flawed genre mechanically and most of the most beloved titles in it are pretty terrible.
- Videogame writing is incredibly similar in quality and tone to Michael's Bay Transformers.
- Videogames characters have two emotions: Determination and teenager angst of the most childish kind.
- Most 3D games are ugly and not even a decent art direction can save them from terrible animations.
- Controllers are completely unfit for FPS
- No FPS designed for controllers can be more than decent
- The higher the number of sequels, the higher the chance of the series being artistically bankrupt.
- No commercial gaming website is worthwhile to read.
- The only reason gaming sites are so obsessed with sexism, violence or other moral issues is because they don't have anything to say about specific titles and can't analyze them, forcing them to review or talk about something else.
- Critics ought to play most of the hallmark titles in gaming before daring to write, including
R-Type, Dungeons and Dragons,
Cosmic Encounter and Francis Tresham's
Civilization.
- If you name-drop
Ikaruga you know nothing about shooters or
Ikaruga itself.
-
Half-Life 2 has horrid pacing.
-
League of Legends is terribly designed and shallow for so many moving parts.
-
Tetris DS, as any other post-Worlds Tetris is terrible.
-
Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines is mediocre and ignores the main theme of the setting its based on.
-
The Tower of Druaga is a great game
-
Beatmania IIDX is the hardest game ever made.
Those from the top of my head. Feel free to tear me apart
