They cut the meat right off the spit and drop it on your plate, it is awesome. But we went to a trendy burger place instead. Its the kind of place that use to be cheap, but became popular and the prices rose. Its still worth the money, but a once a week max kinda place (though I wish I could afford to eat it more often). They make an awesome falafel burger actually.

Domino's claims to have over 40 MILLION pizza topping options (may have been 14 or 4 million), as said in their new 50% off commercial. 40, 14, or 4; I don't care as I'll take a million toppings and be happy.

I think they mean types of arrangements, like peppers and sausage, olives and onions, pineapple and ham, bacon and pepperoni, etc.Luke wrote:Domino's claims to have over 40 MILLION pizza topping options (may have been 14 or 4 million), as said in their new 50% off commercial. 40, 14, or 4; I don't care as I'll take a million toppings and be happy.

Duh. Even 200k is still a long shot though.Ack wrote:I think they mean types of arrangements, like peppers and sausage, olives and onions, pineapple and ham, bacon and pepperoni, etc.Luke wrote:Domino's claims to have over 40 MILLION pizza topping options (may have been 14 or 4 million), as said in their new 50% off commercial. 40, 14, or 4; I don't care as I'll take a million toppings and be happy.

Start including their international ingredients, and they numbers start to rise. Squid and other types of seafood, fruit, mayo or other condiments...and then consider all the tangible possibilities.Luke wrote:Duh. Heading out to:

for lunch.
Yup. Just complained how awful a fast food burger made me feel, but I assure you an Andy's burger is in a class of its own. I wouldn't even call it fast food, as there is no drive thru, and their joints or more like diners. Cute waitresses open the door for you, there is a heavy "50's" vibe to it, and the exposed kitchen is spotless.
The burgers served atw with cheese, cole slaw, onions, mustard, and chili, straight up Southern style. And although I prefer my burgers to be as simple as possible, these burgers are a big slice of heaven. They're a bit sloppy, but not at all greasy. The chili used is cheap, but it tastes excellent with the other flavors. Their steamed buns are also about perfect, and their onion rings are more like onion bracelets.

Re: What are you eating?
I've been in the kitchen more than usual lately, experimenting, as I'm compiling another cook book. It has been interesting to say the least, and so far so good.
One of my most favorite tasks of late involves taking really expensive meals and making them cheap, and vice versa. Things like substituting foie gras with liver puddin'.
I've already worked a bit on dinner for tonight as I have peeled, boiled, and am now blanching "curly fries". I also have a rib roast (chuck end) in the oven which I plan on slicing thinly.
The plan for tonight is to make an upscale Arby's Beef N' Cheddar with curly fries, a horseradish sauce, and an Arby style bbq sauce.

The last of my homemade rabbit liver pâté.
I like rabbit liver, it's got a very delicate taste.
But it does not have enough flavor for pâté.
So I won't be using it for that purpose again...

I see your avatar and imagine it saying what you just posted.

Well anyways. I just had the staple food of all mexicans:
Refried beans with fried egg and rice. With a big ol' stack of corn tortillas. And to wash it all down a glass of coca cola.
