You may be able to find a Dreamcast for less than $30 and some decent games to start with for under $10 each. A Saturn console usually runs $50-$60 and most decent games are $25+ with some really great ones priced at over $100.
I got my Saturn from Ebay last year for about $30 and later I got a bundle of ten games for about the same amount. Also, just browsing, I regularly see good games go for less than $25 (for example, Nights Into Dreams generally goes for $15-20 from what I've seen), so it's not too bad. I would definitely get one now, though, because you never know when "collectors" will swoop in and jack the prices up.
I'm not a glitch, I just have pixlexia.

Try collecting the console's shmups. It's already happened.

I was quoting "typical" online store prices and (non-gouged) eBay BIN prices.

Sounds like you were strategic and found some great auctions - good job.

After research cheapest Sega Saturn I can find is around $150.... with basic cables
For Dreamcast I can find from $80 to $100....

I think I should abandon this effort :P

Edit: I am in the EU so it's either very expensive consoles due to rarity or expensive shipping charges if I get it from the US (also comes with problems due to video format/power plugs etc.)

Ah, yeah, that explains a lot! Many of us are Americans, so we're looking at a totally different market. Which part of the EU? There might be somebody on here from the same country that could give some insight into your local markets.

Haha, yeah, true! You will likely have to hit up the mainland. Dare I ask, Greek or Turkish side?

Greek side since the other is occupied since 1974's invasion :)

I know it's uncomfortable for people to ask this question everytime I tell them my country :P

Actually I was hoping you were from the Greek side! ZeroAX, one of our members here, is located in Greece. He's currently doing his military conscription service, but you might consider shooting him a PM about the mainland market there. He'd be your best bet for advice on collecting around there.
