Ah, mkay. I honestly hadn't heard the term abandonware before, so I wasn't sure.
Abandonware doesn't actually have any legal meaning to it anyway; just because the rights holders are aren't doing anything with a game doesn't mean it's cool from a legal perspective to download it.
I think there are some cases where developers actually encourage people to download the game when the rights holders aren't doing anything with it.

In any case the point is that if it is on GoG, rights holders are doing something with it, so it is no longer "abandoned" and not abandonware any more. Not going more into the ethical issue of abandonware itself, it is clear that if the game is on GoG and you download it without paying from somewhere else, it is a different ethical issue.
