Don't have a link to it, but the Kick Ass 2 trailer is out and looks pretty great. Looks like it'll match KA1's hyperviolence and possibly outdo it. Also, the bits with Jim Carrey as Col. Stars n Stripes are pretty funny. Can't wait for this to come out.

I posted a link in this thread a few days ago. Look for me saying, "Yes, yes, yes".

Or just go over to Latinoreview.com for the redband trailer.

You don't want this movie spoiled do you?
You want surprises right? So stop right here before I basically ruin the movie for you.
I gave you fair warning.
Evil Dead is very true to the original. Well there is no Ash (well there is, see I told you these spoilers ruin the movie) but only at the very end, and it is just his face. As you can tell from the trailer, the deadites aren't laughing lamps and deer heads, rather we get some zombie like creatures that are perfectly ghoulish. And the violence? Holy hamburgers.

The film is chock full of over the top gruesome violence shown in vivid detail. I don't care if you've been reading Fangoria since 1985,
you will squirm.
I guess I can un-spoiler that.
But seriously, you will squirm. The sounds, the visuals...
some of you guys are going to simply fall in love with this movie.
Guess I can un-spoiler that too while I'm at it. Great story telling, some great laughs, and yes, you will get a chopped off hand and a chainsaw as its replacement. But as a gift to you, I won't spoil who gets that awesome curse (although you'll figure it out twenty minutes into the movie).

Best film of the year so far? It's up there. Better than Cabin in the Woods? I didn't think so, but it is close. And "close" is good enough to make me recommend seeing this on the big screen.
Just the red band trailer for that one makes me squirm. I'm looking forward to it, though I have no one who is wiling to watch it with me.

Ah ok. Its possible I missed it entirely. I usually browse this site at work during the day, and a lot of times pictures and youtube vids are blocked. They're blocked in such a way that I don't even see a 'missing element'. I just see stuff like this:

(apparently an image of movie X is posted here but blocked)

*review of flick without naming it*
So I usually just gloss over those, lol.

In that case you will be the one who has to be wile. ;)

Not trying to hype this up too much, but I think ED is worth every penny and delivers what it promises.

That's awesome. I really really liked the Friday The 13th remake, so I was hoping this one would be good. Nice to know that it is.

I loved the Friday the 13th remake, too! Most people I hear trash it, though. Glad to hear there is some love out there for it.

I never was a big fan of Evil Dead, though. To me it seemed like the movie was never sure if it was trying to be serious, or if it was trying to be tongue-in-cheek.

That Evil Dead move looks badass, I don't know how I had not heard about it.

Then again, I am pretty behind the times  I just watched The Toxic Avenger for the first time last night.

The first one was supposed to be a serious, scary movie. When Sam Raimi realized people were laughing at the cheesiness of it, he was like "sure, let's go with that" and made the sequels funny on purpose.

In my own little world I think Rami means for all of his movies to make the viewer question "You can't be serious, right?". We're talking trees that rape, his car is in every movie he has directed (didn't spot it in Oz though), his brother is in every movie, silly cameos like Macy Grey in Spider-Man, and OZ was basically the Disney equivalent of Army of Darkness (AOD2 is about to start filming btw).

I don't think he's intended to make a serious film in his entire career. Almost 100% sure his attitude is "This shit is ridiculous. Let's roll with it".
