I was interviewed by a psychology student for her thesis on "Emergency Care Workers & Stress" since I am an A&E doctor. I answered all her questions with absolute honesty. I think I broke something inside her...
Her parting words were: "Is there anything else you want to tell me about how much you hate life?". Legendary.

Well, I think it's finally happened. I've run out of shelf space for books.

I guess if I get any more (Who am I kidding? I will get more!) I'm going to have to start stacking them on the floor again

Downloaded ICQ. Logged on for the first time in 12 years. Does anyone use this sort of thing anymore or does everyone just text/Facebook now? I miss this sort of thing.

I still use IM stuff, and I avoid Facebook. I don't like phone texting because I'd rather type real words with a real keyboard. Also I'm not so codependent that I need to send messaged to people when I'm out and such.

Skype is pretty much the only relevant messenger to use. Most anyone interested in IMing has a Skype account, and also Skype accounts are able to link several other messenger accounts (YMSG, MSN, etc).

I use Skype and mIRC daily.

Random Thought:

When lurkers become active posters, it feels very stalkerish. I've gotten to know people over the years by reading forums, but not saying a word. Becoming active in a community I have been lurking in for a while feels really strange at times.
