Hahaha, should have known! Well, I ended up going to a beat 'em up, but I highly doubt that will last me a long time, so ok, a platformer coming up. So how about I pick a random selection of five, and you pick which one of those I play:

Bubsy in Claws Encounters of the Furred Kind
Disney's Pinocchio
Dragon's Lair
Hook
Porky Pig's Haunted Holiday

Bubsy. It is kind of a cultural touchstone in awful '90s mascot platoformers. As one of our other distinguished members wrote:

"Bubsy is pretty much the quintessential mediocre '90s platformer that everyone's played but no one likes."

If you are looking for an enjoyable experience, however, I would recommend...ummmm...hmmmm....I will have to think on that one. All of those games are pretty bad. (Bubsy and Dragon's Lair are the worst, however.)

EDIT: Scratch that. Hook was developed by Ukiyotei, the team behind Skyblazer. I have not played it, but the user reviews on gamefaqs are good and believable given the game's pedigree. (I am adding it to my want list right now.)

Play the Porky Pig game. Licensed properties on the SNES tended to be good.

Honestly when I cant choose a game to play, I just buy more games.

But on special occassions when I do play, its an hour process of scouring. I try to pick something I just aquired, or can also depend on the day and time I have available. (Dosen't make much sense I know, but I'll try to explain)

Weekends 11pm-2am ish (even later if not passed out), anything goes RPGs, Longplays etc

Weekdays- 11pm-12am- Power hour anything goes as long as its not too time consuming to get this going. Mainly quickplays of games for my own knowledge or for potiental reviews/ guides.
If you can see the future while remembering the past, you may just have control of the present.

I'd say Bubsy just to get it out of the way and then play Hook or Porky Pig as your REAL platforming game choice.

I think I'm leaning towards Porky Pig's Haunted Holiday. A good horror-themed SNES game is always enjoyable, and the music from what I've played is downright creepy in places.
