What shmup are you playing now?

Already made it to Stage 6 in Tengai

Actually, I think that was the first Psikyo game where I made it to 1-6. I usually pick Aine, who has a massively powerful bomb, plus a good close-range attack, so you can take out a lot of larger enemies quickly.

I 1cc'ed the 1st loop of Tengai once, getting to 2-5. (Junis)
Therefore it must be Psikyo's easiest.

I picked this up last week,put a couple of hours in,really really enjoying this one atm......

I've been playing this for the past week,since it came in the mail,really beautifull game.....
The only region free Cave game I need now is muchi muchi pork&pink sweets,which btw is up on Amazon,reprinted as Cave's the best.....

Just got the 1CC in Darius Gaiden in MAME. I was using auto-fire, though, so I won't post it on the high score thread here. Will just have to repeat the trick next time I'm in the arcade...

Didn't get much in the way of bonuses at the end, so my final score was about 4.6 million. Just good enough to scrape into the Top 50 in the shmups forum high score thread.

EDIT: Beat it again on the next run, slight improvement in score, then beat it 3rd time running, with a life to spare this time, so I finished with 5.66 million this time.

OK...one more Darius Gaiden clear, this time with a nice 4.6 million bonus at the end. Final score 7.88 million.



That's probably enough for that route. I think it's time to check out the other levels and bosses...

Found DoDonPachi Resurrection in 2nd hand shop for £5 and couldn't resist buying it to play on my girlfriends XBox. I credit fed my way through the 360 mode today and had a lot of fun with it. I only used about 2 credits through stages 1-4, but stage 5 absolutely wrecked me and I'd used about 8 more by the end of it

I like the second ship (the helicopter with the options that fire in the direction you move) on strong mode.
