Why is FF Crystal Chronicles so cheap?
I just saw on ebay that every copy is going for like 5 bucks. Is this game bad compared to the others? I only ask this because all of the other FF games are significantly more expensive.
I am buying all Saturn games, PM me with your offerings and I will let you know if I need the game or not! (Everything must be CIB)
Currently trying to knock off all the sports games, would like to get them <$5 each! Of course if you would like to donate them I will gladly pay the shipping!

They're not that expensive. Really only NES, SNES, their remakes, and FFVII command a high or decently high price.TheSegaSaturnGuy wrote:I just saw on ebay that every copy is going for like 5 bucks. This^ and it's more of a multiplayer game.ninjainspandex wrote:Also i believe that game wasnt very popular among final fantasy fans
I've played a little solo but it would be a lot more fun with a group of friends.

It is a multiplayer centric game, and to play multiplayer everyone needs a GBA or Cube with GB Player. So it is expensive to play. It is a shame though, it is one of the best games on the console. And its sequels - Rings of Fate and Echoes of Time, are both excellent hack and slash portable titles (two of the best on the DS)

It's a multiplayer title and dependent on the GBA and connector cable, which I believe only work for the wide models. By the the crystal chronicles came out most places were selling the SP instead.

The GC to GBA cable works on both the GBA and the SP. It does not work on the Micro without an adapter. The downside of using it on the SP is that it does not charge the console so you can only play aslong as you have a charge - there was a third party cable that allowed you to charge at the same time though.

My GF didn't like the multiplayer and I didn't like the game for single player. I imagine that's the big sticking point- that as those above mentioned, it's a bit tedious with only one player because you have juggle duties of carrying "the ball" with the AI. But since we're talking about the Crystal Chronicles series, let me pipe in with a reccomendation of the underdog Crystal Bearers for Wii. That game also wasn't especially well received but I found it a pretty fun romp with a couple great music tracks, too.

Performance issues. The game had a great core concept but the execution failed. If FF Crystal Chronicles could be played without several gameboy advances or GBplayer gamecubes, it'd probably command a better price.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
