Games so awesome!, that you never finished...

Post by Hazerd »

Eternal Darkness -
Rented this back in 2002 for the first time, and played it all the way to the "Dr. Maximillian Roivas 1760 A.D." Chapter before taking it back and buying it. Bought it, started a new game got to the "Michael Edwards 1991 A.D." Chapter and stopped playing. Was a very fun game i actually think i had started over a few times for some reason, but never actually finished the game.

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening -
Ive played this game multiple times on the original GB version and the DX version on the GBC, played it on the GB version and got all the instruments and up to the Wind Fish Egg, but never actually finished the Maze in the egg and killed "The Final Nightmare" and have yet to go back or even care. In the DX version i only got up to the newly added Color dungeon just to see it and stopped.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time -
Started multiple games on this also, and farthest ive ever gotten was Shadow Temple - Bongo Bongo, just lost interest. Never did the Fishing in this game either, one thing ive always wanted to do, but just never found the time or interest to go back.

Metroid Prime -
Felt it was hard to get into this game at first, but once i got to the Magmoor caverns it started to flow just right, and then i saved the game thinking i would come back to its awesomeness, and never did... i definitely need to start a new game and finish this one. Also Love the GC Controls for this game and hate the Wii Controls

Army of TWO: 40th Day -
Yup, i know im probably one of the few who adores this game, but i love the Gun Customization and the 3rd person view of it, and since i dont have a Xbox 360, this is MY Gears of War, looking forward to actually finishing this game and stop thinking about how awesome it is, so i can be ready for Army of TWO: Devil's Cartel.

Just some games i think are awesome and i need to finish, dont tell me im the only one that does this!

Yes i know i should spend less time on these forums and more time playing games.

Great idea for a thread! I could write a dissertation on the number of awesome games I have never finished though. Most of them are RPGs I invest a lot of hours into, leave for a bit, then struggle to pick them up again and get back into them (due to feeling disorientated), so start a new game and the cycle continues.

Final Fantasy VII
First got it on PC. Eventually sold it and got the PS1 version. Eventually sold that version and then re-bought it a couple of years back. Furthest I ever got was onto the start of disc 2.

Metroid Prime
I also definitely need to start a new game on this.

Zelda: Majora's Mask
I've played through this about 3 times now. I've got as far as the last dungeon, but for whatever reason I always lose interest and then feel like starting a new game when I return to it.

Skies of Arcadia
I love this game, but yeah, again, I've never completed it. I can't remember, bt I may have never even made it to the second disc.

Rez
I can't beat the last level!!!!1

And yeah, I could probably go on and on... lol.
Own: Mega Drive, Saturn, Dreamcast, Playstation 1, Playstation 2, Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Playstation 5, PS Vita, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Wii U, Game Boy Advance, DS, 3DS, Switch, Switch 2, Xbox, Xbox 360

I may never finish FFVII, its so far down on my backlog, i have seen the ending though, so it seems pretty nil to finish

This game intimidates me, the idea of having to replay the same 3 days? because your not going through the game fast enough, it's almost a casual gamers nightmare, and a speedrunners dream.

Also i need to add Final Fantasy IX, gotten as far as Conde Petie, on 2 new game files! 2!!!, i stopped playing in the same spot, what the hell!

LoZ: ALttP on the GBA. I'm stuck... think I'm at 3 or 4 crystals in the dark world.
Twilight Princess
Majora's Mask

Last Story
Xenoblade

Mario Galaxy 1 and 2

It would be easier to list everything I HAVE finished.

I can guarantee one thing, it's almost always some RPG.

The only time I wouldn't finish a game would be if it was a piece of shit.

Lost Odyssey... bought a 360 just for the game, and stalled on the 3rd disk. I don't know why really, it's everything I ask for in a JRPG, has an excellent sound track, solid challenge... but I just always stall for long periods of time.

Not so much ragequit as it was me getting sick of endlessly roaming around when I could be playing something else.

Oh yeah... Chrono Trigger is another one.

LOZ: The Wind Waker. An amazing game, but it's just too damn long. It took me weeks of playing an hour or two a day before I even reached the halfway point and at that point I kinda gave up on it.

Myst III: Exile is another one. A worthy follow up to the masterpiece that was Riven, but I got lost in one of the Lesson Ages (the one that's like a jungle) and couldn't find my way out. I just kept going in circles.
I'm not a glitch, I just have pixlexia.
