When you say "static screen", would games like Bomberman still be acceptable? The screen does scroll, but within a limited static area.

Bomberman's right there in the list in the OP.

Yeah, I saw that, but then saw "Static, non-scrolling" So, I'm thinking Pac-Man style, where you literally cannot scroll the screen. To me, Bomberman does not have a static, non scrolling screen.

So, Geometry Wars 2 (XBLA) and Score Rush (XBLIG) would fit into this category?

Also, it seems like pretty much every fighting game would fit into this, as well as pretty much every puzzle game.

Most fighters scroll, the play field is usually wider than a single screen.

Bomberman is usually wider than a single screen and scrolls as well though.

Not outside of single player in any of the 2D games I've played...

Bomberman DS uses 2 screens in multi-player :P

But you are right, I was muddling the single player and multi-player games together.

So, my entries of games like Geometry Wars would not fit, which was what I was initially trying to determain.

Score Rush (XBLIG) should still be added though. Pretty awesome single screen multiplayer fun.
