Anybody remember Victorius Boxers 2?

I remember going through a lot of trouble getting this game. It was a pretty good boxing game based on the anime/manga series Hajime no Ippo. Gamestop was having a hard time getting a definite release date for this game and I couldn't simply preorder it because it was only retailed for 10 dollars. I basically called in like almost everyday to check if the game was out. I guess the reason why I was so desperate to get the game because the first game took me forever to find, especially one that was in great condition (I own 2 copies btw). At that time, I didn't even own an ebay account, but luckily I found it at store about an hour away from my place and it was very cheap (3-5 dollars).

Funny to see a thread about it - I just finished watching The Fighting Spirit (US DVD release of Hajime no Ippo).

I really loved the show, but the trailer for Victorious Boxers 2 looked... pretty bad.
How does the gameplay compare between the first and second game? I've only played a couple boxing games before, but I liked watching Fighting Spirit so much I'm tempted to try some more.

It's the best boxing game I ever played, and one of the best on the PS2. Very obscure game though.

Seconded. It was an awesome boxing game. And it let you play as a Bear.
