Help - Japanese Translation for Pachislot?

Post by winds »

Hey guys,

So a while ago I purchased a Suikoden Pachislot machine from Japan (the machine itself was fairly cheap - shipping was another story, haha). However i've been unsuccessful in getting the thing to work.

These are the instructions it came with, although unfortunately for me, they're in Japanese which I can't read :(. My roomate is Japanese, however he can't read Japanese as well as he speaks it. He can make out a few things, something about a reset button and flipping the key 90 degrees. Anyways, I was hoping someone here would be able to better read these instructions (pictured below) and help me out with a step by step on what to do to get this thing working. Any help with this would be absolutely awesome!

Let's translate this together!

I did 1-3

1. After you confirm that the Main Power is OFF, connect the cable to the outlet.
2. Insert the Congiuration Key and turn it 90 degrees to the right. Turn the power ON. The credit displays on the front should now be displaying the settings.
3. Every time you press the reset button the settings value should go up to the next number. (Notice) Depending on the machine there may not be a reset button but a small button on the back side of the door. There will be a small colored button about about .2 inches in size. Push that button instead.
(1 -> 2 -> 3 -> 4 -> 5 -> 6 -> 1 -> 2 ->) Just like this arrangement after 6 the settings reverts back to 1. So long as the door is open the settings can be changed.

There was one sentence that I didn't understand though. "If 6 it's not limited to an immediate win?" is how I translated it but that sounds funny.「6ならばすぐに大当たりすると限りません。」ってどういう意味?誰か知ってる?

Ahh shoot,
Very sorry PigInTheMud!! I posted this on a Japanese forum as well and someone there translated it for me just the other day. I should have updated that here :(. Regardless though, I really appreciate you translating those for me!! These instructions finally helped me get this thing working after so long haha. I'll probably make a new thread showing off this pachislot soon.

For reference, here is what a member of another forum translated:
1. After confirming that the power is OFF, insert the plug (i.e., plug it into the wall!).

2.INSERT the SET key and rotate it to the right by 90 degrees, and turn ON the main power. The currently set value will then be shown on the front credit display.

3. Pushing the RESET button once increments the set value by 1.
Note: Depending on the model type (of the machine), sometimes there is no RESET button; a small button (a red, blue or white button) is provided on the inner side of the door instead. The set value returns to 1 upon reach 6, incrementing in the following manner: 1=> 2 => 3=> 4 => 6 => 1 => 2, etc. This setting is merely a probability setting. The setting '6' doe not guarantee that a 'WIN' will soon occur.

4. After carrying out your desired setting, hit the front start-lever once. Thereafter, return the setting key to its original position (turn it left by 90 degrees).

Well seeing in this makes me glad that I translated everything properly haha!
