What USB controller do you use for retro gaming?
I had two Retrolink USB SEGA Saturn Classic Controllers and the down button broke on both. It's a shame because I really like the controller. It worked well with NES, SNES and Genesis.
Is there a reliable alternative or do I have to settle for getting a more modern USB controller?

I recommend picking up a good Playstation to USB controller adapter. It will give you more options in the long run.

Re: USB Retro Gaming Controller of Choice?
Depends on what I want to play. I have a half a dozen converters for NES, SNES, Saturn, PSX, Xbox, Dreamcast, Wiimote Classic Controllers to USB. That way I can usually play games with original controllers. If I had to choose one, Wiimote Classic Controller to USB. That way I can use my small arcade sticks and the CC/CCPro.

I really like something like the Sega Saturn controller because it has enough buttons and a good layout for NES, SNES and Genesis (the three systems I'm focusing on using this controller for).fastbilly1 wrote:Depends on what I want to play. Do you know a good Saturn to USB adapter? Or would you recommend something else?

I have a Logitech Gamepad F310 and it works like a charm on just about everything. There's enough buttons that you can map just about any controller in the emulator's options menu and it even has dual analog sticks for the games that need them.
I'm not a glitch, I just have pixlexia.

I found this Saturn to USB adapter which people say it works well. Now I just need to find myself a second Sega Saturn controller. Only have one right now.

Ive not used that one, mine was an old Mayflash that also did Dreamcast and PSX. Thats actually pretty awesome and I might have to buy one of those two.
Re: USB Retro Gaming Controller of Choice?
Eh well if it counts, I just use a two in one USB adapter for PS2 controllers. Since it's just kind of an evolved SNES design, I definitely think it goes well with everything.

I use a Madcatz Street Fighter Xbox 360 Fightpad for most of my emulation needs.
