I can edit video on a PC and play arcade games from 20 years ago. So that makes a PC better than a console. But lets not be a snob about it.
Also, the graphics on new games can look significantly better than a console on a PC and a lot of indie titles are only available on PC and you can have keyboard/mouse or controller support. Lots to like about PC-gaming still IMO.

I can run a few type X game on my laptop I had Street Fighter IV's Arcade version running on my laptop for a bit before it got laggy I was amazed this thing even booted it. Also can play Arcade Blaz Blue CS. So that's cool oh and Arcana Heart 3 runs on my laptop too.
That's mostly what I use my Laptop for is Arcade games,

It's not a bad laptop at all Core 2 duo, ATI HD4500 at one point I had it running Tatsunoko VS Capcom in HD at full speed.

It does run Crysis too. so yeah not a bad laptop but hardly a supa gaming machine with better than console graphics.

While this news is definitely awesome, I was admittedly becoming comfortable with the idea of just collecting this gen and backwards from now on due to the "no used games" rumour. I was liking the idea of my wallet having something inside it for a change. I suppose in the long run though, i'm happy to have another generation of games to play and collect for.

If XBOX live was free I wouldn't mind online passes so much.

You're confusing facts with snobbery.

Consoles play at 'HD' resolutions now. PCs were playing games at 1027x768 over a decade ago. PC video cards have pretty much had more memory available just for nice textures than consoles have for the program, graphics, and everything. Mouse and keyboard are better for FPS and RTS games. Also ones with lots of functions that aren't as useful behind a wheel menu. Some PC games have had '3D' or surround sound for quite some time. Storage faster and easier to expand inexpensively on a PC.

On the flipside, consoles are still a bit more plug and play (barring installs and updates), controllers are certainly better for many other types of games, and they're arguably still more tv and couch friendly.

At least here, most of the time someone says "PC Master Race", it is in jest as we have both and enjoy them both for their strengths.

Ooh, there you go. Multiplayer is generally free on PC as long as the game itself doesn't require a monthly fee.

It depends on the game. I've been playing the PC version of GTA III lately and I think I actually prefer it to the PS2 version, but for most games, I prefer consoles.

So is PSN

If I can play Tekken 4 onward on a PC then there's a case for the PC but most new fighters are not on PC.
