Maybe not a household name to you all, but an established musician and game designer died yesterday at the young age of 42.
I was first introduced to his work from one of the articles here on Racket Boy, part of the Hidden Gems series for NES, no less. I saw the game Panic Restaurant and it piqued my interest enough to download it. I've since played through it numerous times and find it to be one of the best platformers for the console; not to mention it fetches a pretty price, and for good reason. Well, Eno was the designer and one of the two composers for the game, so it explains why it's bursting at the seams with charm.

One off-the-wall title of his goes by the name of Short Warp, without spoiling anything, just watch this:
So, any other fans out there? Let's honor the memory of this unique and talented person.

Oh wow, he made some of the best games for Saturn/DC as well D, D2, and Enemy Zero...that's tragic, only 42...
Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.

Damn. I was only aware of him because Happy Video Game Nerd made an episode on D, Enemy Zero and D2 where he talked of him and I recall reading how D was created just by using 3 Amigas, which is an intresting bit of info if you're a Commodore fan. I recommend checking it out, like usual he (HVGN) put a lot of research and effort into to the vid so it's very informative.
I've never played any of his game besides the D/Enemy Zero/D2 trilogy. Were any of his other games as intresting/experimental?

Re: R.I.P. Kenji Eno
It's so sad to see such a creative and original artist pass at such a young age. The only game of his I own is Enemy Zero. I haven't gotten very far in it. I'm going to have to start playing again. 42 is an early age to go out, but at least he was able to create such great games before then. RIP.
Insert clever quote here.

Re: R.I.P. Kenji Eno
Very sad news. In the past six months or so I have been seeking out/picking up some of his games after playing D last October, and have been anxious to try out the minty copy of Kaze No Regret that I picked up (complete with seed packet!) late last year. I think I'll give it a go tonight before calling it a day and let folks know what I think soon.Lodestar wrote:http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013- ... ed-aged-42

The fact that he created this game specifically with/for blind gamers and coordinated the distribution of copies and 1000 free Saturns to blind people speak volumes about his character. This is a tremendous loss
Re: R.I.P. Kenji Eno
this was, I believe, his last game: a free iOS title that is quite unique - https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/id306930506?mt=8
EDIT: another recent title (WiiWare) - http://www.ign.com/articles/2009/09/21/ ... bes-review
anyone play the Wii game?
