I went to Level Up Games in Santa Cruz with my date today and I'm really liking it so far! Some of the prices are a bit iffy but I managed to snag some good deals (CIB Championship Pro-Am on the Genesis for $1.95, Wonder Boy III for $11)!

woohoo, that's my kinda date!
my girlfriend and i have been meaning to visit santa cruz for a while now, and now it looks like there's another reason to go!

we are getting rid of one of the couches in the living room tonight to clear up some space (if this craigslister doesn't flake on us), so we will have more room for gaming! i will try talking to the other roommates tonight about holding a meetup soon

also, i plan on getting a super everdrive and an everdrive64 in the near future! hopefully in time for a meetup!

I'm really glad Level Up came to town. The prices can go from WTF!? to "hey, that's a pretty good deal" It's really hit or miss. I mean, I'm sure most people realize that if you are shopping retail you will be paying more than your average internet price. But there is no way in hell I'll pay 30 dollars for a 12-15 dollar game. (just throwing numbers out as an example of the price jumps)

The owner is really friendly though, and I honestly have left with some good deals. I'll happily pay a few dollars over the usual going rate to support local business.

Anyway, I've been gone for a bit. I'm excited to finally make it to a Meetup hopefully soon? My band/work love to get in the way but I'm hopeful I can make it happen this year.

Anyway, I've been gone for a bit. I'm excited to finally make it to a Meetup hopefully soon? My band/work love to get in the way but I'm hopeful I can make it happen this year.

Good to hear from you again. We haven't had a meetup in months but I'm all for it towards the end of next month.
