I only realized that they're saying "I'm Bad" like, earlier this year. That voice sample honestly sounded like nothing I'd ever heard and I didn't even realize it was supposed to be words for the longest time.Luke wrote:I still have my cib copy of Bad Dudes, in mint condition.BoneSnapDeez wrote:I liked Bad Dudes back in the day.
I LOVED the arcade game, and like Pit Fighter I didn't care if it was a bad port, I had a freaking arcade game in my own (actually my parent's) home! That I could play whenever I wanted to!
I didn't care that the gameplay was different from the arcade, that two-player wasn't simultaneous, and that when a character said "I"m Bad!" it sounded more like "Grab bag!"; it was awesome to have an arcade game at home. Same with TMNT The Arcade Game.
Those crappy games that have a special place in your heart.

I recently re-beat Kung-Fu and I still love it. What's not to love about an NES classic that you can beat in around five minutes?soul_hacker wrote: I might have to go with Kung Fu on the NES though. While it's not really all that bad of a game, I just do not like it today. At all. It was the first video game that I played at my now best friend's house when I was really little. I remember it very fondly.

Anytime I see a fist pump like this:

I always think of Bad Dudes. That and when I see a president eating a Cheeseburger.

8eyes (nes) was a favorite of mine as a kid. It's a really bad Castlevania clone.

I genuinely liked those Burger King games as a kid.

I remember playing way more Rise of the Robots growing up than any self-respecting kid should have.

Bubsy 3D. I kind of enjoyed playing it as a kid.

Well, since it was mentioned in the op, I'll say that I liked Bubsy, the original, quite a bit as a kid.
I used to play it a lot, enough so that I could turn it on and beat it without trouble. People like to say now that you can't get to the end for cheap deaths and frustration and the like, but I know from experience that isn't true.
I still have my original cib copy on Genesis, and I have no plans to get rid of it. I realize it probably is a "bad game" in some ways, and there are things about it that would likely bug me now that a kid wouldn't care about, but I still don't consider it to be crap.
I haven't played it in a few years, but that's an "other games to play" thing, not a "stay away from Bubsy" thing. I think I'll pop it in soon.
