What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

:D Got my copy of Fortune Street for the Wii. It's fun as hell, and I got it for a pretty decent price, considering it's new and sealed.

:) Got tons of stuff to play with my CFW'ed already, including a few Japan-only games (Heroes Vs, Saint Seiya Omega, Great Battle Fullblast w/ the bonus Battle Dodgeball 3 game, Parodius Portable, along with the two Kamen Rider games I mentioned earlier), the undubbed version of Tales of Eternia, some PSX-PSP games (Nightmare Creatures 1, 2 games in the Cotton franchise, Thrill Kill, X-Men Mutant Academy 2) and some homebrew emulators.

:( Had some issues with the PSP version of Quake, along with two Quake-based games, and some games run with OpenBOR

 No one's seeding the Soldier Collection

 I also still only have a 2GB Memory Stick for my PSP, so that sucks, since a lot of PSP ISOs are around 600-900MB and Great Battle Fullblast is about 1.3GB!

:| Still waiting for a few other things I ordered, including Faselei! for NGPC (only $20), the complete series box set of Iron King, and the Ringmaster's Edition of The Devil's Carnival (which includes the movie on DVD and Blu-Ray, which is only available on the film's website and only 6,660 copies were made).

Ticked - The big award at work was announced today, six people I currently support, and twelve other people I trained all got it. Guess who didnt get picked... Its a fucking joke. The six people I currently support would not have got near the requirements if it was not for me, but they get to go. Its not as good as it was a few years ago - it was a week at a five star resort in Hawaii. But it is all expenses paid trip to a four or five star resort, and I mean ALL expenses (last year one of the guys I trained who went decided one day he wanted to go skydiving, so the company fronted the bill for a private skydiving class and trip for him and his wife). So its a paid week off of work, at a resort, where they pay for everything, and they give you 1k per diem in cash on top of that - for buying golf clubs or nicknacks.

Smile - The jackass I currently support who has been trying to get me fired for the last few months, didnt make it and he is cussing up a storm at HR. I never said he was bright.

What ticked me off today was being given 28 pages worth of homework in my medical terminology class that is due this saturday (the home work came up online on thursday). Even better is that the homework is always based off of the chapters that we will be learning about during the next class period, so we have to do work on something we know nothing about.

It is so frustrating!

Other than that, everything else makes me smile.

If it's not based solely on numbers, then it's probably like every other "Top so and so" award at every other company. It boils down to which employees an exec wants to hang out with.

I had a very brief stint with an investment firm, jeez, several years ago and I was awarded a trip with the elite although I hadn't closed a single deal. Not saying your co-workers don't like you by any stretch (besides that one dude), but sometimes the newbs get all the preferential treatment.

:) Recently got my Iron King complete series box set, which is new, but...

:( The case has some serious damage (the bottom part's cracked and is now almost gone)

:D My mom's coming back from Florida tonight (she had to go down for a job interview and to look at a house)

Smile - finally found the pincushion adjustment pots on my TV, so now I can fix my geometry problem!

Ticked - While trying to adjust it, I accidentally BROKE THE POT.

Now it's stuck like this, noooooooooooooooooo. The distortion is worse than ever now!

Actually I'm pretty sure just replacing the pot wouldn't be too hard, but still.

Smile: Was asked to hold a lecture on e-commerce at my local University. Professor Luke may not be that far of a stretch if I keep these lectures up.

I'm stoked. Lecturing is a breeze compared to my normal work and stand up comedy. You begin with a captive audience, and I get to quiz THEM!

:-D Sega Saturn arrived today. It was a little dirty, so I went to town with some rubbing alcohol and cleaned it right up. Plugged it all in...AND...it works! :) Was worried it was a sketchy listing as it didn't include video-cords. Now I own all four Sega consoles. Yay!
