Was really dissapointed with microsofts and sony's offerings this time around. Definitely regret the 360 purchase that is for sure. Picked it up on launch day and for about 2 years it seemed to be THE console to have. I honestly enjoyed the Wii more than any other console this generation so im definitely going to roll with a wii u after a price drop this generation. Pikmin 3 has me sold on a wii u alone.

This isn't a isolated feeling. I won't ever say I'm "done" with consoles but this is one of the first generations I haven't owned all the major systems (no PS3). There's a few outcasts going back that I need to fill (Neo-Geo, I'm looking at you) but for the most part I have picked up at least one of each system, each generation.

I have just lost the heart for it, mainly because most games this generation are just such a time investment that I cannot commit to. Like most I'm going pretty much PC elitest from here on out. So are most of my buddies.

It's like Crystalis in real life. We have the technology, we just don't want it.

I agree with you on time investing. The media just holds so much data they squeeze in as much "game" as ever before. With the mandatory multiplayer that gets added to the clock, it really has become a huge time invested.

I'm done, the Next Gen news I keep hearing basically tells me gaming as I knew it is dead.
Hopefully all of it is just lies and conjecture. If I need a new games fix I'll probably get a Wii U.

You're not the only, man. I plan on building me a nice rig - not just for games, but also for some compositing and digital effects work at home.

I think I'm going to do the opposite and buy all the new systems and get rid of the old ones. Then I will only play an old game if they have it on PSN or XBLA.

I plan to pick up the Wii U.

I won't know what I'll do with the other two big systems until they actually come out. Lots of rumors flying around right now that haven't really been confirmed or dis-confirmed yet.

Naturally it also depends on what games are out too.

I NEVER thought the day would come when Nintendo has the most appealing system. However that Wii U pad needs to go there is no reason it can't be Vita sized

Screw that. I love the large size. It's one of the most comfortable controllers I've ever used.
